Upcoming trip questions

Hi! We are headed to DisneyWorld Oct 29-Nov 4. We're going with a good friends family who are DVC members and staying at the treehouse villas. It will be the first time we've gone with the kids (ages 4 and 2) and my husbands first time there. I'm sure I will have more questions as it gets close but I'm spending today doing some planning and have a few.
I had been planning to bring our Britax stroller and toddler Tula but will it be better to rent a double stroller? How much of a pain will that be getting on and off buses?
We are getting 4 day park hoppers, we also have tickets to the Halloween party the night of the 30th. I had planned on us doing HS that morning and have breakfast reservations at Hollywood and Vine. Not sure if we should take that morning off to save the park day or just go as its our first day there. I imagine we won't want to go to the parks everyday and had planned one day off in the middle for recoup/ rest. Or I am off on this?

1. bring or rent a double, yes. Bring the carrier, too. Rent a city mini double from one of the offsite places.

2. I don't think it's a huge deal w/ the busses - they fold pretty flat. The key is not storing a ton of stuff IN the stroller, have a back you can clip on w/ caribeners but easy to grab off when it's time to the load the buss. Don't be the person still unbuckling your kid and unloading the stroller while the bus is loading.

3. Since your party is at the beginning of your trip I'd be tempted to use the rest day the 31st or 1st. I hate to burn the ticket on a party day and I like to rest but since you won't be tired from touring yet I'd probably do the studios that am but get back to the room to rest by 1ish. Alternately, how much is it to add another day or 2? It might be nominal and then doing a half day or 2 isn't a big deal.

Rest day on the 31st. The day after the party. Plus there is SO much to do at all the hotels on halloween.

We're there too then (dvc members staying at blt) including the party on the 30th

I would not use a park ticket on party day.

Oh, I hadn't thought of this. I had planned on rest day the 1st mid trip but didn't factor in if there would be more to do around the resorts on Halloween. Thanks! And exciting you'll be there at the same time

I am bringing a double city mini stroller, I considered just bringing a single but I know A might be jealous if she sees her little brother riding along and she can't get in.

This is a good point too on the stroller. Sorry we'll miss you guys, you guys will have so much fun too!
