I went with H. It was cute, I never lol'ed. I thought it would be funnier but I definitely enjoyed it and will watch it again. I think it was just built up way too much before I watched it. The grocery shopping scene was totally lost on me, though. lol. I was so uncomfortable watching that part!

I did. But Kathryn Hahn has that effect on me. I went with my close girlfriends and we all brought extra friends so there were about 12 of us total. I don't know if that made any difference.
I thought the movie itself was stupid in that there were plot holes and the characters were over exaggerated BUT there were a lot of LOL moments for me so in general I liked it.

I also thought it would be funnier. I didn't really lol, and I wonder if it was because I didn't go with a big group of moms/girlfriends.
I also really hated the vulgar character (Kathryn Hahn)...it's such a cheap way to get a laugh.
And I hated the whole scene about how uncircumcised penises are gross.
I think my favorite part was during the credits when they talked to the actors real moms. Kristen Bell's mom was hilarious.
I saw it with my DH and sisters (who don't have kids). I laughed out loud several times. We all thought it was hilarious but I think I laughed the hardest.

I went with one mom and one non-mom. We went to a theater where they serve food and drinks, which may have colored my experience.
During the grocery store slow-mo montage, it struck me that it was basically the female equivalent of Old School, a comedic fantasy vehicle for women -- which you hardly ever see. I think that sort of calibrated how I took the rest of the movie, and I did laugh a lot. And I enjoyed seeing some buddy comedy tropes played out for women -- the crude friend, the house party, the hot love interest with zero character development, the inspirational speech, good 'guy' wins, etc.

Absolutely this! A few things were funny, but I was expecting more since everyone said they were laughing so hard throughout the whole movie.
This is kind of how I feel too. I expected to be in tears from laughing. It actually made me sad at times, although now I don't remember why specifically. I thought I was broken for not finding it very funny.

I did. I was with a girlfriend and we practically snuck in a full bar. It was one of the most fun, laid back mom's nights out I've had. (we were at a theater with reclining leather seats)

This, word for word. I went with a huge group of friends and really didn't think it was as great as I'd expected. A few laughs but a lot of it made me uncomfortable or was just lame. My friends suggested I'd find it a lot funnier if I had older kids and could relate to the school/PTA stuff more. Idk.
I've seen it twice and I don't have kids. I thought it was cute and funny. I loved the Kristen Bell character...especially during the penis part where she says she is never wearing the sweatshirt again.
DH even thought it was funny. He finally forgave me for making him watching bewitched 10 years ago.
The stupidest part of the movie was the widower dad or whatever they were calling him. No one is that perfect, he was ridiculous. But hot.
I think that was the point (could be over reading), I thought the character was intentionally poking fun at 'the perfect guy' thing because it IS unrealistic. Same way as they exaggerated the perfect PTA mom, and the slacker mom, etc. I took it as part of the humor.
I definitely laughed out loud watching it, but I was with Mom friends and some of the stereotypes are particularly strong in our area so it was recognizable.
