My husband is a fanatic. With his fantasy league draft last Tuesday and the first game last Wednesday it's a reminder that I'm about to become a football widow
I used to try to explain the whole fantasy thing, but it was too much effort. Instead he calls up his buddies and they have heated arguments over who is "terrible" and who was "the best pick ever".
H barely watches football. He follows it but doesn't sit and watch a game pretty much ever. Restaurant biz and all, he works every Sunday so it's just not our thing. Baseball is where it's at around here. We will go to a Bucs game without a problem though, we flew to Boston to see them get humiliated by the Patriots a few years ago because he found some cheap tix on Stubhub and JetBlue was having a sale.

We're New England fans in our household (although I have a lot of love for the Lightning, we have partial season tickets. I have a hard time, however, watching a game between the Lighting and Bruins because I feel conflicted).
That said, I find it sad that all the Bucs games get blacked out - it doesn't help build local love for the team, which I would think could help boost ticket sales.
Football is a BIG deal in our house. H is a die hard Pats fan. Office is decorated with all Pats stuff and anyone who knows him loves to give him a hard time about it.
Last year we caught up with a local Pats club and hung out with them at Boston's restaurant for any games that were not televised on regular tv. He doesn't participate in fantasy football though. He will watch other games that are on too, so basically he is football all around. Although I love football, I feel like aegis2005 "a football widow" because I know that from now until playoffs/Super Bowl it's all about the Pats schedule!
I am a supporter of college football too and root on my Bulls!! Last year we did season tickets and it was a lot of fun. With baby on the way this year I skipped on the tickets, but maybe we can do them next year. I will try to catch as many Bulls games as possible.
College football is huge for us. Gator football is the only thing that gets me excited about fall. We used to go watch the games at a bar with the Gotham Gators (alumni club) so we could get the most Gainesville-like experience possible in NYC, but now with the babe we'll be staying home this year and trying to get her first words to be Go Gators.
Pro football is big in the rest of my family and we do watch it, but I'm not as worried about it. I'm a Browns fan so it's generally pretty depressing anyway.

It is huge deal in our house. We have the Sunday Ticket so we can watch all the Patriots games, H is in 2 fantasy leagues & I am in one, and during football season, our Sunday schedule is definitely centered around when the game is. Before kids, we used to go out to Sports Bars to watch games. I used to dislike football season because I was much more of a baseball fan, but I find myself loving it more every year.
College football is big for us as well. GO GATORS! Pro ball... meh, not our thing. We bleed orange and blue and before the babies we went to all the games (H has his parents old season tickets; they now sit in a box). I will be lucky to go to one game this year with Madeline. But it is something we live for in Fall. I am hoping that the Gators can get their butts in gear this year because it is going to be a tough one and they are a young team!

I'm way more into football than Ross. He'll watch it, but he's kind of just okay with it. When we were first dating/married we would go to one of his cousin's houses almost every Sunday and he would always watch and enjoy it, but he just doesn't care that much. He'll still watch if we go somewhere and will occasionally turn it on at home, but not very often. I play in an all-girls FF league and he is no help to me at all. Go Susan B. Azzkickers!
I like watching most any football, I don't watch a ton of college, but I will. If I could watch my alma mater I would watch weekly, but not a lot of DIII gets on TV.
H plays in a few fantasy leagues and enjoys that aspect of it. However, our Sundays don't revolve around the NFL...we're both kind of over pro-football and the nonsense that goes along with it (blacked out games, etc.)
However, we are HUGE Gator fans (we met at UF). We are definitely going to the Missouri game and may go up for another one. We usually get together with our college friends to watch the away games.
Saturday football and pumpkin spice lattes are by far the best thing about fall!
