Reservations at Disney springs

We have the dining plan.
Do we need reservations for Disney springs? We are going the last week of February and first week of March. Are there any walk-up tables? Day of reservations?
I kind of wanted our one day off to be more of a 'no plans' kind of day.
Our Party is only 3 people.

And second follow up, can we make reservations at a quick service Disney springs restaurant? Or is more of counter service? Like WG puck express? Is that McDonald's style?

How is T Rex? Pretty cool?

If there is a specific restaurant you want a reservation might be a good idea.

If you okay with being flexible on the restaurant and/or if you are okay with eating QS if a TS is not available I think you are fine to wing it.

I don't think there are any QS that take reservations at DS but someone correct me if that is wrong. BOG in MK is the only QS with ressies that I know of.

You can always make the ADR at place/time you think you want now and drop it or change it later.

My kid loves T Rex. I wouldn't take a sensitive kid there, it's dark and loud, but he loved it. We put our name in and the kids played in a sand box type thing while we waited. I also like Wolfgang Puck Express but they're way different.

Besides restaurants it's just shopping. I'm not a huge fan of the area, I'd rather be in parks, but it's fine for a dinner.

T-Rex is a rainforest cafe but with dinosaurs. There is also a build a dino (a build a bear) inside. We have reservations but we're going the saturday after thanksgiving so I expect it to be crowded.

TRex was fun but LOUD! For that one we did make an ADR. I have always had good luck making same day ADRs even just an hour or two in advance with the app. As long as you are open there are usually some places available.
