Hey guys! So I have a 2 year old DD. My friend just gave us a free ticket to use, and neither of us have been to magic kingdom. I have been to Epcot, when I was a kid.
I live less than two hours away, and just plan on making a day trip back and forth. I was hoping for some tips on what to bring, what are must sees, what to avoid, etc! It's a park hopper pass, I guess? We can go to any of the parks for one day.
for one day with a two year old, i'd stick to magic kingdom
bring: a good stroller, water, snacks...lots of snacks and water, good walking shoes and a camera :0)
see: all of it haha a 2 year olds can go on almost everything in the magic kingdom--but MUST sees? in MY opinion, for a 2 year old: it's a small world, peter pan, ariel, winnie the pooh...pretty much all of fantasyland (part of the magic kingdom).
Maybe grab a mickey ice cream--hope you have a great time!

Perfect advice. Try to get there early and hit up Peter Pan first. You won't see it all, so don't stress about taking it all in. Just have fun!

Thank you! This is going to sound dumb, but are those all rides? Or just like themed areas?

I would do MK with a two year old. If you do have hoppers and rally want to do two parks I would pick AK as the second park. However there is plenty to keep you entertained at MK for a day.
Some rides I would definitely try to do...
Small world, dumbo, the train, magic carpets, tea cups, jungle cruise, carousel
This thread may have some tips/ideas for a day trip.

Those are rides. There is plenty to do--shows, rides...you really can't go wrong. For some reason Peter Pan has the worst line so I would head there first and "it's a small world" is my favorite ride...so I'm biased...but you can probably find a park map online or jut look up the magic kingdom on disneys website and read about the different rides and stuff. Just do what you can/what interests you the most (probably won't hit EVERYTHING in a day) and I hope you have fun!
Since you live close and have flexibility on when to use the ticket, check out crowd calendars and go when it's supposed to be low crowds and not too hot. It makes such a difference! I LOVE Disney World in early December. I hate it in mid-August and would rather be anywhere else for vacation.
