My business class starts next week and I've been instructed to come to class with a business name in mind. I don't have to end up using the name but I would like to start with something that has potential. Got ideas? TIA!

Tell us more about the business you anticipate. It will be a center, right (not in-home)? What age range? Do you want it to be location-specific, or a name you could move to anywhere?
Just one request: no extraneous letter ks (or other cutesy misspellings). There is nothing I hate more than Kids Korner. I know you wouldn't ever do this, I just have to put it out there in the universe how badly this bothers me.
It isn't cute or creative, it makes you look like an idiot.
Ok, so, my mom started a school and I'll PM you the name.

What's your favorite thing about kids?
It will be a center. Age range will be birth - kindergarten. I want the kids to be able to stay in one place until school age.
Probably not location specific in case we move (or franchise at that point).
It will be more than just 'daycare' so I'm trying to avoid that word. There will definitely be an emphasis on learning but overall I just want it to feel like home, comfy, happy, warm.

The place that E went to (which has the age range and type of care you are thinking) has the words Day School in their name. I'll PM you the full name... I liked the fact that it did not include daycare because it was really so much more than that.
Will your school have a theme? If so, you could build your name around that (Reggio, Montessori, Global Citizenship, ect). Also, add 'academy' to pretty much anything and its sounds fancy (Discovery Academy?).
There's a nice daycare near my work called Tu.tor Time - and I just learned they're a big chain. I don't love the name though. I agree with 2brides XYZ school statement - partially because my nephews go to one of those and it's an awesome place.

I don't have any ideas, but I will echo the sentiments of no weird spellings, avoid cutesy, strive for classy, and make it easy to remember. As someone who has created a business name, it is hard, but when you figure it out, you'll know it's "right."
