DD1 was genuinely a beautiful baby and DD2 was ... not, lol. DD1 is still above average attractive and so is DD2 but I'm not sure they are model beautiful. They definitely don't have the temperament to be child models. Most children are beautiful though.

Yes! I think DD is the cutest baby ever, but I'm sure every mom feels the same way about their baby.

I don't think she could model though, it's really hard to get her to sit still.

My kid still has a mullet at 4.5yo... so no, not the cutest. She is adorable and sweet, but not model material and not the cutest.

True story- I actually was worried that DD wasn't cute. When she was 9mo we took her to a college football game and all these drunk kids were fawning all over her calling her the cutest thing ever and H was like "drunk people can't lie, so will you calm down now?" lol.

My oldest probably could have been a baby model just based on his red hair alone. I would get stopped in every store and complimented for years!!

And no I cannot be objective.

DS is objectively cuter than most boys his age. Looking through his yearbook from last year confirms it. DS has always been an adorable kid IMO, but being handed several child talent agency cards and asked to be in a Whataburger commercial confirms that my opinion seems to be shared by others. The nursery nurses told me he was one of the most beautiful infants they had ever had.

DD is still the cutest baby in the whole world to me, but I don't see her getting the same external attention for her cuteness that Carter gets.

I know I can't objective look at my kids! I use to think DS1 was the cutest baby - cuter than DS2. But recently H showed me some pics and he looked super awkward in them (he has really thick hair that sticks up everywhere - he's had that since birth). Now we just buzz his hair down to keep him looking normal. Although I think he's a pretty cute 5 year old.

DS was a really cute baby but now his hair is kind of unfortunate lol it's really messy and half straight, half curly, but I refuse to cut it. He's always been really photogenic when DD never was.

I mean...no. Is that bad? It seems to be outside the norm, and that surprises me a bit. He's cute. A lot of other kids are cuter. And a lot of other kids are not.

She's had her moments I guess? She was an adorable newborn until her hair fell out and she looked like an old man. Totes adorbs again from about 4 months on. Lately she just looks like a cute boy and is approaching mullet territory. She has an adorable face and big blue eyes, so that's got sticking power if you can see it underneath the snot and drool.

I would say that my kids have both alternated between "cutest ever" and "pretty damn cute." Sometimes I see other people's kids (or pictures of kids on the internet) and am particularly struck by how beautiful or cute they are. I think standard toddlers are pretty cute in general, and most kids are in this "generally cute but not striklingly so" category (which is also often where I think my kids are). Occasionally I am particularly struck by an odd or not-quite-as-cute looking kid.

As for modeling... F is a total drama queen and a pain in the ass to get to sit still, but once she gets into it she poses and we tend to end up with good pictures. But no one would want to deal with that personality at a photo shoot. S is more obedient but somehow it takes a lot of tries to actually capture the awesome smiles on camera. So she's probably out.

I think my son has model good looks, but I sound conceited saying it, because he is my clone. He is being a difficult 2 year old, so that is detracting from his cuteness.

My daughter has freckles and curls and I think she is cute, but objectively she is probably an average kid in looks. She is super cute though and such a kind, sweet kid.

I think they're cute because I love them but I wouldn't say either is extremely good looking model material. Also we just looked back at some baby pics of DD and yikes. lol

I think she's so beautiful, but realize I'm incredibly biased. H will sometimes ask is DD really is that pretty or we just think so because she's ours. I think she could definitely be a model, but once again, very biased

B had a rough first two months, but has been adorable ever since. Maybe not model material, she can't sit still and her hair is still lacking, but she really is gorgeous I think.

I think he is amazingly cute and he gets compliments from strangers all the time. HOWEVER I also thought he was ridiculously cute as a newborn, but I can look back at his pictures now and recognize that I was somewhat wrong, lol.

I am certainly able to acknowledge when other kids are cute(r).

@tambcat J was (is I'm sure) an exceptionally beautiful child. I haven't see E IRL but I'm sure she is too. They both look like little angels.

I think DD is outstandingly gorgeous and that DS could be a model.


I am their mother so of course I think that. LOL.

I do get stopped pretty much every time I am in public by someone commenting on DD's beauty however.


She was kind of odd looking as a baby though.

DS was super cute, like the cutest kid in the world, from ages 2-4. Before 2 he was cute to me, but objectively he was an odd looking kid. Now he just looks like a normal kid to me, though sometimes I still see glimpses of the cutest kid in the world.

I think my kids are pretty average looking compared to other kids but when I look at them, I see their beauty.  But I do think they are smarter and funnier than most kids.

D looked like a little old man as a baby, including the ring of hair around his head. But I think he's beautiful now, and his red hair is a bonus.

DS was an average baby/toddler, although he had these huge blue eyes that everyone went crazy over. But when he was 4--omg he totally could have been a model. Now he's still cute, but he's 8 and his permanent teeth are coming in so that looks a little awkward (especially since he'll totally need braces).

Yes, and I'm not going to be diplomatic and say it's biology. We'll see if she continues to be, though. I needed 3 years of braces, so once those adult teeth start coming in, it's anyone's guess.

I think both of my kids are beautiful but personality definitely plays a factor. Neither could be baby models because DS has a huge nose for such a small kid and he has wacky hair. DD already has a goofy hairline too.

But they are both much cuter than I expected my children to be lol

The other day a girl I'm friends with who has a son 2 months older than mine said "I always thought I had the cutest baby in the world and then I saw yours. If I made a perfect baby in my head he would look like your son" it caught me off guard because I always thought I just had mom goggles.

I think all babies are cute, including my own but I do not think they are model material. I think dd may have been cuter than ds when she was a baby but that's because she was always well accessorized with matching bows and stuff. Ds has an awesome smile that totally makes me melt though.

I think my DD is the cutest/most beautiful (of course) - but what she really has going for her is her hair. OMG. We get stopped constantly about it. I've had ladies stop us and tell me that she's so lucky because most women pay big money for hair like hers, lol.

She "modeled" for Zulily once, so I guess she was a baby model.
