Can I just sit next to you drinking mimosas?

I do a podcast with a few guys. One I've been friends with for years, the other two are newer to me. One of the newer guys is a black guy, and took a picture at the last session, posted it to Instagram, and tagged #alllivesmatter.

I had an issue with that, and in our group text about our next meet up, I said that I don't want that tag used, or I'd prefer not to be in the photos.

He launched this huge text attack at me saying all lives matter and black on black crime. Then when I responded he needed to read an effing book, dude tells me I need to process my self hate against my whiteness and read the Bible more. He's basically coming at me with some garbage opinions from Bill O'Reilly and zero facts. Plus he is stating that black people are just now getting mad.

I might need something stronger than a mimosa. Ugh.

That stinks about the leave request. I could see if you were getting paid but since it was unpaid it seems like they could have obliged.
So drinks are definitely a good thing!

I'm on day 3 of solo parenting with my 2yo while we are at my dementia-addled mother's house. Yesterday the caregiver told me "I didn't know she was such a handful!" referencing Jennifer and not my mom. :/

I'm not driving anywhere today so no, it's not too early to start drinking.

ETA: I have 6 more days of this. Hold me.

How many more days of solo parenting do you have? So I know how many bottles of wine to send over, lol.

6 more days. I currently have 2-1/2 bottles with me. It will not be enough, lol.
