The intent was to provide a board for those of us who no longer have babies or really small children. But that does not preclude anyone who do have LO's from posting. : )

Primarily 40+ seems to be what we are, but if you are experiencing 'old person' issues, then feel free to post!
I'm not 40+ yet and I've noticed coming here(lurking) more and more. You posting this made me feel like maybe I can post a little. I'm 30, but no kids, never will have them, just had a hysterectomy, deal with aches and pains more similar to a 70 year old.

I do like having a board where most posters are out of the (or never had) the baby/young children stage of life. Not that I mind people talking about hitter children/grandchildren, but I really have no interest in and nothing to add to discussions of school schedules or getting dinner ready with a screaming baby in the room.
But also, I feel I fit better here, because I am 43. I've gotten to the stage in my life where I remember stuff actually happening people are studying now as "history."

My DH and I watched a program about Watergate and the aftermath last night, which we both vividly remember. We thought if someone wrote a story about something like this, people would say it was too crazy to be true. Maybe that's also why we don't get the uproar over the Clinton emails--we experienced something SO much more damaging to the country.

On the other hand, I AM in my 40s but I've got 3 little kids. I am probably best to find a board just labeled "The Crazies"

That's okay. You can use the other boards for the kids thing and here for all else, like weird period stuff and hair growing in places it shouldn't.

I am an old Nestie and old GBCNer, and I just wandered over today and found my people! I am 40. I am perimenopausal. I am divorced and child-free by choice. I should pluck my chin hairs maybe a little more often than I do. And the grey hairs are starting to catch up on the brown ones.
And JayhawkGirl - Yes! With the shifting to having to worry more about your parents. My parents are still young, but they are definitely not in the shape they once were. I hate that so much.
