October vs November

When would you go?

We all decided on May but then I found out I was expecting s new baby in March so we are pushing out plans back

Would you go in October or November? We would like a pool day but not mandatory we would pull the kids from school

November is better for work time off but October crowds might be better?

We are flexible

Kids would be 5,4,2 and 9ish months

Also we want to do dvc but sized out of most studios.

When do i need to put in my request?

Would you do a split stay to experience different resorts or just stick to one?

Well, October would have MNSSHP and November would have the holiday parties, I think. Would either of those be something you'd want to do? I would go early to mid November, if you went that month, as Thanksgiving ups the crowds. October is usually fairly low-ish crowd wise.

What's the thing in October you speak of?

I was thinking roughly nov 18-26 so it would overlap with t giving but only 3 vacation days from work due to the holiday?

Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party! It's pretty awesome. Trick or treating, super rare characters, great theming, special treats, etc...

Personally, I'd go for mid-October. The low crowds are a major benefit for me.

I think I would prefer seeing Disney with Holiday decorations over Halloween but the crowd levels would be a deciding factor for me.

Late Oct or early Nov would be my pick. It definitely gets a lot more crowded as you near Thanksgiving.

The Halloween party is a hard ticket event. It is various nights throughly Sept and Oct. MK closes at 7 for non party guests on party nights.

We had a great trip last Oct.

I would like to go in Nov but the week you are talking about would be crowded. I would probably pick October over that week unless there is a big difference in time off school. I would try to minimize the number of days missed.

That week in November is off from school for my kids and I have thurs friday off from work too but crowds are annoying but Christmas is awesome

I doubt we would do the Halloween thing but better weather and less crowds are tempting

Ahh I can't decide! I keep going back and forth! I think I decide then I change my mind!

There two things that I am now stressing over are lines and pulling my oldest out of school for a week (for some reason I thought he was going to still be in pre k not k)

They get Election Day off and Veterans Day off but that is also jersey week so moderate crowds or we could stick to thanksgiving week 2 school days but heavy crowds or screw it all go mid October low crowds and miss a week of school?

It wait Til summer and sweat it out but work might give me the side eye if I'm just returning from mat leave

Are there any random teacher work days that would give you a long weekend? FWIW, we've never gone fore more than 3 days & thought it was sufficient. More time may have been better, but by going in less busy times we were probably able to get just as much done (like, all of fantasyland plus the stuff we wanted to do in frontier before lunch one day).

I seriously vote for less busy time even if it means you're gone for less than a week.
