I'm a first time mom and a hypochondriac so this pregnancy has been fun. I've been having Braxton Hicks for about a week now and they've gotten worse tonight and I just took a Tylenol. It's not a sharp pain, it's more like a period cramp in my back and a tight tight stomach. Is it normal to need Tylenol? I'm paranoid about preterm labor (I'm 27 weeks). I am also slightly dehydrated so I'm trying to also drink a lot of water tonight.
Also, pregnancy questions aren't dumb! It's a really fucking weird thing bodies go through, lol. Lots of us have done it and are happy to answer the best we can.
This. Doctors and nurses would rather have a "dumb" question than a sick mom and baby.
It's like what you first learn in school, "There are no dumb questions."
I hope you're feeling better today. And ditto the posts that there are no dumb pregnancy questions and to always call the nurses line if you have a question. You'll continue doing it with the pediatrician, too. I know I have
I was on OB last month and the message from the nurse was that the pregnant patient was having contractions. I returned the message and talked to her and turns out she was just constipated. There are no dumb questions!

Thank y'all. I feel better today. I did just switch from working nights to days and am walking a lot more, so I think I'm adjusting to all this activity. Trying to drink as much water as I can, I keep throwing up but the dr called in suppositories for me (phenergan) which seem to be helping.
