I need advice on strollers. We have a City Select but I don't like to fly with it bc you have to take it apart and honestly I don't trust the baggage handler not to damage it. In the past we've taken this old beat up graco duo stroller, but that thing will be a pain in the ass for Disney. It doesn't really drive well.
So what do I do? The twins will be 2.5 when we go and the oldest will be 5.5. We're going to definitely need a stroller. Should we rent one there, just suck it up and bring the graco duo (which we will have anyway to help get through the airports).
I should probably also introduce myself. I'm Nichole, long time lurker on several boards. Hi!
We rented a stroller from Orlando Stroller and it was the best decision ever. They have doubles too.
DS is 8, but we're renting one in December. He's got some special needs (ASD, sensory processing disorder, hypotonia, ADHD), and used the stroller we rented last year for sensory breaks.

Oh awesome! Is there another place to look into besides Orlando Stroller? Now I'm thinking maybe we can do the airport without ours and just pick up the rental down there. Although that might be a nightmare with the twins going all over the airport.

I know we'll get some Looks, but I don't GAF. lol
Hey, you do you. I wouldn't give a second look to an older kid in a stroller at Disney. That's a lot of walking for them, and with special needs, he'll need a break for sure.

We rented from Kingdom Strollers last trip when we flew without a stroller.
Do you babywear? I wore my 2 year old in the airport and had my 4 year old walk (I flew alone with the kids). Or maybe get a cheap umbrella stroller for one of the twins for the airport?

We took a cheap target umbrella stroller the last 2 times for use in the airport and around the resort. We rented a double stroller at the park each day. Our last trip the kids were 3 and 7 and I wore the 3 year old when needed and the 7 year old took leg breaks in the stroller.

I would not think twice about this. last trip our 7 year old used the stroller plenty and she has no special needs. Disney is a long day and i'd rather a kid sit in the stroller for a little bit to get and get a little rest.

We also didn't want to listen to him bitch about how tired he was or how much his feet hurt, so, major benefit for DH and me too. Haha

We rented from Magic Strollers. They dropped it off at the hotel (we stayed onsite - I don't know if they do that to offsite hotels as well), and it was so easy. We picked it up from the bell stand and then dropped it back off there when we checked out.
I would rent a city mini double for sure and consider bringing a basic umbrella (not too short, though) for the 5 year old. When we went last time we had our city mini double for our 5 month old & 3 year old, we used that all day. At night when we went back out we took an umbrella for the 6 year old. It could be folded & shoved in/hung on the city mini but we had it if needed.
