She's a meth addict, and has been a hot mess for several years now, so I fervently hope that she learns many new coping skills so she won't have to "pick up" anymore. Fingers crossed.
To show you the level of her insanity, she PM'ed me from FB this morning that she was going in today and was "terrified". I wrote her back and asked her "why?" She wrote back that she was worried about her cat being fed. I wrote back a couple hours later, and told her what was terrifying to me was if she went back to using and the ramifications that went with it. lol
I know that her cat is not the real reason for her fears--she's going to be learning a whole new way of living life on life's terms if she sticks with this treatment program. It's so hard to let go of our "crutch"--I can totally relate. Been there, done that.

I also hope you told her that you are proud of her getting help.

Absolutely. I know exactly how she feels as I've been through treatment too. Her active addict behavior was appalling and toxic. But I'm always willing to help out in any way I can if she wants to get clean, and that includes letting her know how happy and proud I am of her.

So absolutely relieved to hear this news, Flex. Sending vibes for a positive, successful experience. Wishing you the best in acting like the great support (even from afar) I know you can/ WILL be!
I have not heard from her. She checked in last Thursday and I told her I'd call this coming Thursday--this is to allow her to get settled, etc. She was told that in order to accept phone calls it depended on the client's behavior, so hopefully she's "earned" a call from me. : ) I have PM'ed her a couple times through FB, but received no reply so I'm assuming internet contact isn't happening.

So I have a FB-related question in regards to my sister's account. So she hasn't signed on for PM's since last week, BUT all these ads for free stuff and shit has been showing up on her timeline. Is that something she's actively posting or is it some kind of app that sends out new stuff every day? I'm confused.

My guess is it's either an app or her FB account was hacked. That seems to be pretty common.
That makes sense. Thank you.
I'll be calling her this afternoon to see how she's doing. : )

I hope to visit her while she's in the "big house" in early October. The treatment center is supposed to call me for an interview prior to granting me visitation. : )

That's great news! (sorry I've been a little out of the loop. Spent some time practicing electronic abstinence in the beautiful state of Maine! Had a wonderful vacation.)
So happy that your sister is learning. You'll be a great visitor and help to her.
