We don't have any family locally so we usually celebrate by ourselves. I don't coordinate anything except for Easter and holiday PJs. It happened completely by accident but now DS is always Santa and DD is an elf.

They are so gorgeous!! And Skwcm's kids are beautiful as always A is so big now!
I have a confession....we have yet to do any family pics...for holidays or anything else.
I'm really hoping for a fall OR Xmas photo. I have to do some research of a photographer first, I kind ovvlike the idea of Christmas Jammie pics, but my kids ere so cute dressed up too. No idea maybe I'll borrow FIL's fancy camera and take pics of them for fall myself.
I just bought dresses from RL that were on crazy sale over the summer that I hope she will wear them for Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Then I bought this bib from the Carter's sale that makes me laugh:
ETA: everyone's kids are so beautiful! I love the idea of matching PJs for siblings.
I like being cheesy for the holidays and going just slightly too far, lol. Fortunately, my family has picked up on this and go along with it, to the point we have contests to see who can be the most ridiculous.
For Christmas last year, H and I decided to dress as Todd and Margo from Christmas vacation.
This is what I wore for dinner (yes that string of lights around my neck lights up):
This was for a Christmas party: And another:
And another (I've had that sweatshirt since I was little!!):
The pair on the right were from HA. I waited until 12/20 and bought them for $18 or so. I hate paying full price so i usually wait until the last minute for holiday wear.
We usually do a long car ride on Christmas day so I try to go with comfort. I change dd for dinner but I'm usually in something stretchy and just above sweats. Last year was dd's first Christmas and I coordinated PJs for the whole family. DH acted like he wasn't into it but he loved it.

Where are these from?! I LOVE these. The kids need new Halloween jammies.
Halloween is really my last hurrah of the year. I'm practically dancing around waiting for the calendar to flip over so I can put my stuff up.
I've never been a Thanksgiving or Christmas person. My Portal Christmas tree from last year is the most thought/effort I've put into the holiday in ages. Fixing the lights on it will probably be the most effort I put into it this year. lol

We don't go anywhere on Christmas day anymore but all of the days leading up are filled with activities. Christmas Eve is spent at my cousin's house and everyone wears Christmas pajamas. I only did a Christmas card once and it was so stressful I didn't do it again. When we go out for holiday activities, I usually throw on Christmas shirts but they don't usually match or anything. PDQ

Everyone's kids are so gorgeous! I don't know what I'm doing for the girls just yet. I found some cute owl dresses at Gymboree and they might wear those for Thanksgiving.
I took a really cute picture of DD last year in Gymboree's pumpkin dress. I went through my photos and found one of her in the previous year's Gymboree pumpkin dress. So I unintentionally created a tradition and will need to shop Gymboree online pretty soon to buy this year's version.
And I definitely need to do some holiday shopping for myself. Hello nearly 30 pound weight loss!
I'm such a grinch and don't really do holidays, but am forced to by family. However last year on Christmas I had to work the day before and after so I sat home in my pajamas for most of the day except to go to Chinatown in Manhattan to buy a delicious duck. It was glorious.

I just got an email that Gymboree has 50% off dresses.
Our baby is due in December. I want to wear footie pajamas and hold her up in a Xmas stocking. My SO is not on board lol
Totally do it! DD came home on Christmas Eve at a whopping 4 pounds. It never occurred to me to put her in a stocking and take a photo until a patient's mom mentioned it to me the Next summer . I still tried to do it the following Christmas but she was already one-year-old at that point.

I don't dress the kiddo up for holidays, but I do get this ridiculously expensive but adorable catalogue every year and briefly consider it, lol. Here's the link to their holiday clothes -- they also have amazing Halloween costumes.
