Anyone stay at the Beach Club Villas recently? How was it? We have never stayed on property and I just booked our room there (1 bedroom suite), I'm really excited. Was the walk to Epcot reasonable? We will have a toddler with us. Any info is helpful.

I'm dying to book one of these but we are a family of 5 and they say max capacity is 4. Makes no sense that I can book a regular room at the Yacht Club (where we booked currently) and can't get a 1 bedroom suite at BCV!
Rant over - I hear the walk to Epcot is super easy!
Are looking at suites or villas foodie? I had thought with the latest renovations that studios & one bedrooms would now sleep 5? Kids under 3 never count for occupancy, though.
OP - we love love love the beach club and have rented a studio there maybe 3 times now. The walk is ridiculously easy, the pool is awesome & beaches n cream is great, too.
We are big fans of getting park hoppers and coming home from the MK via the Epcot monorail. Walking around world showcase & over the International gateway is magical at night. We love that we can keep kids in strollers from Main Street all way back to our room this way - and they sleep & we enjoy the atmosphere.

lala That's a great idea, thanks for sharing! I'm not sure I would have thought of that on my own, lol, but that'll be a nice way to travel back and forth with the stroller.

BCV sleep 5 in both the studio now and 1 bed, but the 1 bed does not (and will not even if you ask) provide bedding or a bed for the 5th person if you are staying on points (your own or rented points). (If you are paying cash through Disney maybe they will, but I'm not sure about that). So you'd need to bring sheets, blanket, etc and a blow up bed or something if you don't want 3 people in 1 bed. The studios will have a murphy bed for the 5th person once the refurbs are complete.

Interesting and great news for me, especially since a studio is much more affordable! I'll have to do some research on a studio vs a regular room as far as size goes but thanks for this info.

I haven't stayed in the villas, but I've stayed in a regular room at the BC and I love it there. It's my favorite resort. I love being able to walk to Epcot, and walk or take a boat to HS. It's so convenient.
I stayed at the Beach Club last October, I think the villas would have been nice because the Quickservice in the area was lacking. The walk to Epcot was short - 5 minutes or less plus the Villas are even closer! The walk to Hollywood Studios was longer, but doable if you are in decent shape and it wasn't really hot. The boats are very slow and generally we would beat the boat back to the resort unless we left at the same time.
We loved the bar/restaurant outside of Yachtsman Steakhouse. It was great for nights when we wanted a quick good meal - clam chowder, crab cakes, truffle fries.... There are so many good restaurants in that area and the pool at the Beach Club can't be beat!
