Ticket question

We are going to be at WDW for 7 nights but our flights are very early / late so we need 8 days of tickets.

I have researched different tickets and believe that I can buy the 7 day park hopers from park savers and then upgrade the tickets to 8 days but when I make my Fastpass reservations I will only be able to do 7 days of Fastpass.

We have one magic kingdom day that I think will be light on rides- my dd has a BBB appointment and then we have lunch scheduled at crt. It's mid week though. I am assuming that's fine as many people take days off midweek to just not schedule fast passes that day, skip it, schedule the other days before and after that day and try our luck after we get to the parks and upgrade ?

When are you going? What FPs do you think you will want for that day?

As long as you are okay with being flexible based on availability I don't see a problem with this plan. I assume this is not your only day at MK.
