Can you put an offer in anyway? Maybe they aren't as qualified as you? Bid over asking? (Not sure how your market is, but that's the norm around here.)

Oh, man. That happened to us, although we ran to the library to print out the contract and someone put it in like 20 minutes before -- all the day after the property was listed at like 11 p.m.! But, in retrospect, the house we got works much better for us, so hopefully either it'll fall through or an even better one will come along!

Don't give up. This just means something better is going to come. Also, I'd still put in an offer anyways. There is a window of time where the buyer can terminate the agreement, so you can have your offer as a back up.
I understand the disappointment. Last week, I found a house that fit all our requirements. Saved it to show H in the morning. Sent the link to him- he opened it up before 8:00 a.m. and it showed "Pending". Seriously? This is what I get for being considerate and not wanting to wake him up. Talk about literally being a "you snooze, you lose" scenario. Lesson learned...I'm waking EVERYONE up next time.
Sending you good thoughts on finding the perfect home.
That sucks. The market around here is crazy. Do you have to compete with flippers in the areas you are looking? When we were looking in DC that is what we were up against. I don't have that kind of cash. Get out of here with that.

We put in a much lower offer than the one accepted. They backed out. Owners had a disastrous open house and then we got the call. Does your offer still stand? So there's hope!
