I am thinking about signing up for one of those personal styling services. They have a couple newer ones that are for sizes 14+ and have more stylish clothing choices. Has anyone used one of these services before (e.g., DIA and Co, etc)? I want to spruce up my wardrobe a bit.
I did Stitch Fix and I loved it. Damn trying to be more financially responsible or I would still be doing it. I think I was paired with a great stylist and she got my style and what I was looking for right of the bat. I know people will say that you can find the same kinds of things cheaper, but I wasn't. The fact that a complete stranger was able to find sizes that actually fit me and I can go to the store and try on a variety of brands and sizes and still nothing fits amazes me. I do think I got lucky though because I have seen some not so great picks. I would give it a try.
So are these like ipsy bags for clothes? I think I could pull together decent outfits but I'm lost with accessories so I give up and just wear what's comfortable. I also end up on the floor a lot at work so I need things that allows me to move around. Do these services provide shoes and jewelry too?
I feel stuck with style choices. Also, how to best fit my body is an issue. Currently, I am between a regular 16 and a 16w, I hate the lack of choices, particularly hip/modern things. They either fit in one area of my body or not the other. Also, I feel like the style selections are aging. Where are the hip fitted blazers in my size range? Maybe I need a list of wear to shop. I have been shopping at Macy's and Land's End. My current city has terrible shopping options and I shop online quite a bit. Eloquii is hit or miss for me these days.

gazpacho, do you shop ASOS too? They have a great selection.
I find bottoms to be the hardest part of wardrobe selections. If you have 2-3 great fitting pairs of pants and maybe 2 basic skirts, you can create a pretty large wardrobe from that. Tops and sweaters can be fairly easy if you don't have non-commercially common proportions. Aka an G cup with a 28" waist.
I'd also recommend shopping dresses too, if you like them. They're mostly one piece for the whole look (unless you add a jacket or sweater for layering) and that saves time and trouble.
I rely heavily on Pinterest. I recently started a board for my friend who was going through a rut and is plus sized. If you want the link, just send me a PM and I'll pass it along.

I definitely stalk your Pinterest and I know a million years ago you offered to help me shop for things and I never took you up on it. But I seriously think I need help now. I think my biggest issue is where to shop. I easily get overwhelmed in clothing stores are rarely go without my H.

I'm totally game on helping folks shop. I get to live vicariously through you all because I've tried to curb some spending for upcoming trips.
Just PM and we can chat about what pieces you're looking for, work, casual, budget, etc.SaveSave
