Trump calls for wide implementation of stop & frisk

During a Fox News taping on Wed night (not yet aired) Trump called for his plans to implement "stop & frisk" as a way to quell inner city crime and violence in Chicago. The practice---which unlawfully targets people of color and was ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge in NY in 2013, but was not banned--is proven ineffective, and is clearly racist.

Trump doesn't give a shit about the Constitution--he's praising "stop and frisk" as a way to dog whistle to scared white racists, and to reward Giuliani for his support. I hope Lester Holt brings this up in the first debate.

Instead of calling it the "black outreach" campaign, he should call it what it really is: the "assuage white racists by giving the thinest of proof that Trump cares about black people" campaign.

Sometimes I still wonder if he's trying to throw the election.  He's BEGGING people to hate him and have a million reasons to not vote for him.  Unfortunately, it's not working.  People are voting for him because he's a) Not Hillary and b) the Republican candidate.  It's maddening.

I have family that is firmly in the "Not Hillary" camp.  There is essentially nothing I could do or say to convince them that she is the best option.  So I'm focusing on the fact that there's no such thing as voting "Not Hillary" by checking Trump.  A vote for Trump is a vote FOR Trump.  You're not saying you DON'T want her to be President, you're saying that you personally feel that HE is capable of being the President of the US.  That you SUPPORT him & at least the majority of what he says.  A couple of them are showing some potential for not voting for him, but there are more conversations to come.

Sadly, I think the vast majority of people that are going to vote for Trump have this same mindset; "Well, it ain't Hillary!" If only people could see that if you truly dislike either candidate, voting for the other is NOT how to handle this election.

Exactly. 

There was a decent article awhile back about having to vote your conscience.  It was great, and basically said, "you have to be able to sleep at night being comfortable with your vote."  I think it even mentioned not voting for president (but still voting for other offices).  I hate to suggest that, but I think that's what I'm going to have to suggest to some people, just to keep them from voting for this maniac. (They won't vote third party because they feel that's just a vote for HER, too.  Ugh.)

I honestly fear for our country's safety and future with him as POTUS.
