I'm going up to Bow for a cousin's baby shower this afternoon.

Most of my immediate and extended family live in Skagit county, and I'm so thankful that all of them are safe.

The families and friends of the five victims are in my thoughts and prayers.

I grew up in that area. My moms bff & her daughters live in Burlington. It just so happened that they decided to come down and we all got together Friday night, so they were accounted for when it happened. Definitely hit close to home.

Yes. Thanks for asking. Thankfully, my mom hates the mall, so I was pretty confident that they were ok. So sad for the area.
