Do Kids Converse run big or small?

My boys are wearing Converse for my sister's wedding and I need to order them...I fell like I remember that they run big so I should size down? Is that right?

I have a few pairs from target that I find run big, Daniel is wearing a 9 in most other brands but these are still too big to wear.

I just ordered them for Halloween for the girls and they're definitely big.

The only thing that I've found about kids converse is that they run skinny. I mean, my kids have chunky feet, but if I get the right length I can't even get their foot in althe way due to width issues.

All converse run a half size large.

We have this same problem. My boys have super wide chunky flat feet. We have to size up.

Here are two pairs of converse size 9 next to a pair of DC size 11. I do think the DC pair is a small 11.
