Planning arrival/departure times

We are using Magical Express and saying at the Poly.

We land at 10:15a
We depart at 7:55p

Both arrival and departure days we plan on going to magic kingdom. Any educated guess on when we will be at the park on arrival dayand when we will have to leave on departure day? Just planning fast passes.

I wouldn't plan fast passes before 1:30 or 2:00 on your arrival day, or after 1:00 on your departure day, assuming that you'll be using Magical Express both ways.

DME is almost always three hours before your flight.

If I don't plan anything after 1:00 that leaves us like 6 hours from 2pm to our 8pm flight. Should we cab to the airport? That seems like a huge waste of a day.

Disclaimer: I'm going off what I've read. I have no personal experience yet.

ME leaves 3 hours prior to your flight. So that would be 4:55. Budget about an hour to get back to your resort. So that's 3:55. Depending on where you are in the park, you would want to leave some time to walk back to transportation. Maybe 30 minutes. That would put you at 3:25 the absolute latest you would want to exit the ride. So maybe have the last fast pass be 2:45.

I'm not sure about arrival day but I know there have been several people here who typically go directly from ME to a park. IIRC they say it's typically about 2 hours from landing to park entrance.

I would leave MK by 3:45/4 on your departure day b/c ME will leave at 4:55. I'd rather be 20 min early for ME than late.

On departure day, I would book them early because you can add more if you have time. DME departs your resort 3 hours before your flight, so I would leave the park 4 hours before departure.

The three hours for ME on departure day feel awful, but we have never waited long at the airport. The potential for traffic and the horrendous TSA lines need to be considered.

I agree with walking out of the front of MK 4 hours before departure.
