M: rest T-Fri: a couple short runs, 2x strength Sa/Su: 16/10
No vents. I'm happy for a lighter week.
Highlights: I ran marathon #14 at my long run pace. It was fun chatting with other runners and taking it easy. I still finished 10th F since it is a smaller race.
What is your training plan for the week? Mon: ride Tues: 3 miles Wed: 45 min tempo Thurs: swim Fri: 5 miles Sat: rest Sun: Volunteer at IM Louisville, which will result in lots of sprinting
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? - Nope, finally!
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? - Finding out I qualified for USAT Nationals, and then finishing out @vtcupcake qualified too!!
39.3 challenge; last weekend of the month! My training plan is going to have to change as I now have to go to a wake tomorrow night.. Maybe I can get my miles done in the morning. I have to do 20 this weekend, however I signed up for the BAA half before I signed up for the challenge. So I am thinking a few warm up miles before the race, then the race and then I am not sure. I am carpooling and I doubt my friends will want to wait around Boston while I continue to run!
I took two minutes off of my 5k time from last week!
What are you training for? Date? Columbus Half Marathon, 10/16 (omg)
What is your training plan for the week?
M - 3 miles
T - strength training
W - 5 miles
R - strength training
F - gonna try 11-12 easy miles
S & S - rest, light yoga
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? I am so ready for training to be over. I just feel...bored, or something, I don't know.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? Nothing, really. I'm sorry I'm such a downer, lol. I really am looking forward to race day/weekend, I am just done with training.
P.S. My annoyance with this training makes it all the more likely that I'll be dipping my toe in the tri world next year.
What are you training for? Date? Nothing really, MCM 10K is likely out since I'm still a few weeks away from running, I would like to do a 5K around Thanksgiving and maybe 10K around Christmas time.
What is your training plan for the week? Mon - strength, Tues - swim class, Wed - swim couch to 1650 week 6 (1650 yards), Thur - swim couch to 1650 week 6 (1650 yards), Fri - Rest, Sat - bike ride?, Sun - last day of couch to 1650, a mile straight!
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Just bummed about MCM 10K, I really thought that I would be able to do it and that I would be running right now. But there is not much to be done except keep working at PT and work hard to improve my swimming
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? Nothing too exciting in the last week. My H and I are going to the Nationals playoff game on Friday! Go Nats!!

What are you training for? Date? Sweet, blissful, nothing at the moment.
What is your training plan for the week? Nothing. Vacation and sloth.
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? I have so much work to do with swimming and running.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share?
I'm officially a triathlete. I felt really strong on the bike (we're just not going to talk about the highway overpass that I neglected to look into, that puppy was steep considering my normal training roads are pancake flat.)
I've officially started plotting my 2017 season and H's eyes got really big at all the races I'm considering.
The weather looks amazing for you guys! You are going to crush this race!
I'm so happy about the forecast. Now all I have to do is make it to the race on time with my earbuds intact. Lucky for us, the house we rented is about 5 miles from Grant Park.
m- 5 miles t - 5 miles w - 5 miles th - boot camp f - rest s - 20 miles s - walk
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? attempting 20 miles this weekend. Continuously tired. We're also on the path (currently) for the hurricane this weekend, so we'll see how planning the run shakes out.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? after my disaster attempt at a trail 30k, the weather was amazing this past weekend when i ran my 12. I've also adjusted my intervals & it's much more manageable.
Space Coast Half Marathon Nov 27th M - 4 miles T - body pump, core class W - rest T - swim, barre class, speed work F - spin class S - 9 miles S - bike ride
DH is out of town, so life is crazy. I ended up taking an entire week off of exercise when I had the flu last week. I wasn't quite able to run all 4 miles yesterday.
No AWs, just barely surviving over here. ETA - Bib numbers came out today! That's exciting!

buffaloeggs.blogspot.com 2016 Races: Hop Hop Half Marathon 2:05:09 Pac Crest Half Ironman 7:13:40 9/10 Aluminum Man Oly Tri 11/27 Space Coast Half Marathon
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Life is just very busy in general right now and won't calm down for a few weeks. I'm taking it easy when I can.
I made it to peak week with no injuries - but almost had a major wipeout last night due to a guy with 2 big dogs on those awful retractable leashes. He had no control of the dogs I had a super close call trying to avoid them- I managed to fall onto squishy grass, so I was completely fine, but I was so close to hitting the pavement.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? It's been dry all summer, so I was happy to get a little training in rainy weather in.
What are you training for? Date? Zooma Amelia Island (10/22)
What is your training plan for the week? M - 3 miles easy, yoga T - 3x1 mile repeats, 6.5 miles total, strength training W - 8 miles steady pace, barre3 class T - 5 miles F - rest S - 10ish miles (will be on fall break so we will see what I will be doing) S - 6ish miles
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? My stomach started bothering me last week and that wasn't great. I think I have it almost under control.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? my long run was my fastest long run pace in months, but between my stomach and my Achilles that isn't saying much.

I am so excited for our Sunday races!!!! Good skwcm80@keeweenawlove, jene, itsme, chitownbelle--who am I forgetting?!? So exciting!
Lol, training plan. I I have a few events coming up, but don't have the mental capacity to follow a formal training plan until next week. It's wedding season!
What is your training plan for the week? M - still sore from 4 miles on Sunday - rest and stretch T - I'm going to go run a mile or 2 on the treadmill and foam roll a bit. W - Core/ leg day Th - 2 treadmill miles Sat or Sun - 5 miles.
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? My husband has been snoring at night for weeks (more than usual) and I can't sleep. That makes it really hard to get up at 4:55 am, hence my lunchtime run today.
I'll see how the treadmill treats my calves today.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? I was sore from my run on Sunday (4 miles, plus another 1.25 mile walk back to my car), but my pace was pretty good. The 10k course is super hilly, so I'm definitely not going to PR, but I'm determined to enjoy the scenery (seriously, check out the website) and just do my thing.

What are you training for? Date? Local half 10/8, Fall 50 Relay 10/22, Turkey trot
What is your training plan for the week? M- Run 9 T- Lift W- Run 4-6 TR- Master swim F- Rest S- Race S- Rest/swim or bike
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? My training for the half this weekend has taken a nosedive between vacation and my calf issues. I did get in a relatively pain free 9 miles last night. Normally my mantra is to trust your training but in this case I will have to come up with another one since my training has been a shitshow.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share - vacation in Hawaii

What are you training for? Date?
Nothing, really. Finishing up C25k (Week 8, Day 2 tomorrow)
What is your training plan for the week?
W: C25k W8D2 in the morning; lifting in the evening Th: Maybe C25k W8D3 after work Sa: C25k W8D3 if I don't do it Thursday, C25k final day if I ran Thursday; lifting Su: Maybe a family hike at the park
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week?
My right ankle is a little cranky from running on grass/soft dirt for part of my run on Sunday. That's the ankle I've sprained twice, so not surprising, but still annoying. Taking it easy, continuing to wear a compression sleeve on my ankle when I work out.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share?
Ran for 28 minutes straight on Sunday, plus shaved some time off my split.
I am so excited for our Sunday races!!!! Good skwcm80 @keeweenawlove, jene , itsme , chitownbelle --who am I forgetting?!? So exciting!
Lol, training plan. I I have a few events coming up, but don't have the mental capacity to follow a formal training plan until next week. It's wedding season!

So many races this weekend!
What are you training for? Date? Louisiana half (January)
What is your training plan for the week?
M: 4 mi T: 3 mi W: XT R: 4-5 mi F: rest Sa/Su: 9 mi/XT depending on how things go
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Except my long run I didn't run at all last week. Stress does weird things to your body. I'm really really hoping to run all 4 times this week for the first time since April. My official training plan starts in 2 weeks and basebuilding has been pretty much a nonstarter so I hope it still works out ok.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? I haven't punched anyone this week. Just working on that day to day right now. On the up side my mom is finally going home Saturday, which theoretically will reduce my stress load, but I'm not so sure it will get any better if she doesn't start trying to take care of herself instead of relying on my sister and I.

What are you training for? Date? Chicago Marathon THIS SUNDAY! EEK! It cannot possibly be this weekend. How am is it time?! What is your training plan for the week? Um, not much. running tomorrow morning, but I traveled for work Sunday and Monday (got back late last night) so I'm just trying to stay healthy Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Traveling makes me tired. And my mouth hurts b/c I have a canker sore. No real obstacles, except my H keeps wanting to have steak for dinner. That is the last thing I want/should eat this week. So we keep arguing over dinner. Which is dumb, b/c really, just eat your steak! I'll make my own boring bland food. Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? I'm mostly excited for Sunday. I walked past where the starting line is at lunch today and it was so cool to see them setting up. I like watching the set up progress.
I don’t post here normally but I’m going to start.. regular fitness check in would be good for me. so.. hello!
Plan this week- M- strength (done) T- strength (done) W- rest Th- short run and strength F- yoga at lunch, 30 minutes mountain bike ride if I can get home early enough S- strength and short run S- long mountain bike ride
The shorter days are sucking for me now, it means I can’t go riding my bike in the evenings because it’s dark too soon. And it’s only going to get worse. I’ll have to stick to weekend rides or try to leave work early midweek.
Not training for anything, I’m recovering from an ankle issue so I can’t run much. Might do a 5k in December.
