What is your training plan for the week? Sleep, stretch, repeat
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? I think I got food poisoning on Monday night after I got home. Spent most of Monday night/Tuesday morning willing my body to not get sick. And everything is hitting me now, I think. I'm achey, my cold is a little bit worse, and I just want to sleep. The leader of my running group just told me, "Yeah, didn't want to tell you before your race, but you're going to be feeling crappy for a while". Lovely.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? I ran 26.2 miles and it was awesome!!! I didn't meet my time goal, but I finished and it was amazing!

What are you training for? Date? South Shore OWS - Saturday.
What is your training plan for the week? Swim M-W-Sat. But I missed this morning b/c I got my flu shot yesterday and my bicep is ANGRY. So I'm considering tomorrow instead.
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? It's going to be freaking cold during my OWS on Saturday. Air temp probably in the 30s or low 40s. Brrrr. But I have a thermal plan in place and therefore, I can do this.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? My new regular doctor is a DO who practices manipulation. He fixed my "costochondritis" yesterday with a simple manipulation. I guess I had a displaced rib and that was causing the pain/inflammation. He also wants to address my chronic anemia pretty aggressively and says it's actually a direct result of being a swimmer - heel strike anemia (I think it was originally a runner's malady). I'm so excited for a PCP that can address my swimmy needs as well!
What are you training for? Date? Ummm...I don't know?! I've had a string of races that I've been training for since January. My goals are all done! I have to see how I feel after some rest. I may do a Halloween themed 5K. Maybe consider a 4 season half marathon challenge but not ready to think about that yet.
What is your training plan for the week? REST!!!
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Walking down stairs is not advisable 😂 Monday I had a pretty terrible headache but luckily that passed. Even though I'm sore, my previous injuries seem ok. No idea how that's possible. I'm not as sore as I thought I would be honestly.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? I've AWed a lot but here I am again...I ran a marathon!!!! I'm still basking in how great the experience was. So much better in every respect than I anticipated. I'm also so incredibly proud of myself for setting a lofty goal, working towards it and not backing down when roadblocks threatened it. It was so worth it!
