Well, I can speak to the scar. There are some spots where you cant even see it. However, I have a huge dark scar below my boobs, so this is very small in comparison. And it is well inside any bathing bottoms I would wear. I love scars...wear it with pride I never realized you ended up with a section. I have always had a poochy stomach, so now at least I canblame it on the section!
I had an emergency c-section and a three hour surgery to stop the bleeding. Scar: But it seem's to have gotten a little smaller and it is finally turning lighter in some spots. I work very hard on my stomach muscle's and it is getting there but when I look in the mirror it look's to me when they sewed me up they pulled to tight and have asmall muffin top on top of that. With that said it has only been 10 months and girl you are only 4 months it is major surgery don't be so hard on yourself, I know easier said than done at 8 wks I was like what is going on with my body!
No success here in getting rid of the pouchy tummy. Granted I had a pouch prior to pregnancy, so there may be hope. It's probably going to take awhile though. Your body is still healing.
The scar does fade some, but will always be visible. Mine is just a pink line now almost 2 years later.
I had an emergency c-section and they ended cutting vertically and horizontally to get DS out, he was just too big. The scar on my skin though is only horizontal and 2.5 years later you can barely see it. My stomach deflated around six months and this summer I have finally done enough stomach crunches to be debating actually wearing a bikini again. I have a small frame so the extra weight around the scar seemed really obvious and disheartening. It's nearly gone though and my hips have shrunk a lot as well from how the kind of expanded. I'm sure you'll get to an point where you are happier as well, just don't feel badly if it takes a little time.

It sounds like the OB screwed up. Did they use staples or glue? My stomach looks pretty good, small pooch below the scar, but I also have a very long waist and never stretch out that much. Even at nine months, I look like 7.

My c section scar is still pretty ugly. The pouch around it isn't too bad, but I have a belly button pouch. I think it's from the appendectomy I had when they were five weeks old. My stomach wasn't completely flat before, but it is worse now.
And I think my ribs stick out at the bottom. Does anyone else have this issue?

When I had my 3rd c/s last month both the nurse and OB commented that you could barely see my c/s scars from c/s's 1 and 2 (almost 7 and 5 years ago). So, it definitely gets better with time, especially if you are a good healer (no keloids, etc).
As for the pooch it does get better with time too, but may not ever go away. It does get easier to hide under clothes, though. Right now at 6 w PP, I'm still pretty swollen around my scar but I know it will go down. I've had a flap since i had my 1st c/s, though. I probably would no matter how I delivered, though, since I carried all 3 kids straight out in front.

I've managed to get my pooch to shrink a bit with lots of ab exercises, planking, working on obliques, etc but it's still there because I like food too much to supplement my working out with eating stuff that doesn't make me bloat. I'm pretty sure I would have the pooch no matter how I gave birth.
