What is your training plan for the week? Mon - 5 miles Tues - rest Wed - 5 miles Thurs - elliptical or spin bike Fri - rest Sat - prenatal yoga Sun - half marathon
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Everyone seems to be sick around me and I don't want to get sick. Also the eastern part of NC is in really rough condition, loss of power, tons of flooding, and still more flooding to come. I have a friend out there that has a special needs son who I've offered to take them in if need be, so we may have company this week.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? Taper!!!!! And non-h&f we are finding out the gender of our baby tonight hopefully he/she cooperates!!
What is your training plan for the week? Mon - off Tues - pool run Wed: Speedwork Thurs: XT Fri: Not sure. I'd like to do my 6 miles but my day looks crazy. I may switch for 2-3. Sat: 6 miles if it doesn't happen Fri. Sun: Rest
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? - My knee is acting wonky.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? - I ran 5 miles! Longest since my ankle injury.
What are you training for? Date? Columbus Half Marathon, this Sunday!
What is your training plan for the week? tapering... just a couple short, easy runs and some light yoga
My main obstacle right now is...My H and I were riding bikes on a trail on Sunday, and I took a nasty spill. On my right calf the chain was basically imprinted on my leg, and I have 5-6 little puncture wounds. Major bruising there as well as on my right thigh (it looks like some kind of contemporary art piece). Scraped up elbow, some joint pain from the impact...ugh. It'll be further down the road of healing by Sunday, but right now there is a lot of pain. Today will be the first day I run since it happened, so I should get a sense of if/how this will affect me.
What are you training for? Date? Nothing official on the calendar until the RNR DC Half 3/11, but would like to do a turkey trot with my son, I think I'll sign up for a 5K/10K around 12/17
What is your training plan for the week? Mon - strength, Tues - strength + swim class, Wed - strength, Thur - swim (not sure what yet), Fri - Rest, Sat - strength + bike ride?, Sun - swim
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? It's a beautiful time of year to run and I'm sad that I'm not. My neck has been so damn stiff. I've been using the heating pad on it every day. It's feeling better the last couple of days. I'm convinced it's a combo of playing with my phone and swimming. I'm getting old and it's kind of depressing.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? I completed couch to 1650 and swam 1650 yards straight on Saturday in 48:49. Next step is I want to be able to do it doing flip turns.
What are you training for? Date? Not sure. My half marathon was cancelled because of the storm, but I'd still like to get one in. I'm 99% sure we're going to do our 10-mile pumpkin run on 10/30.
What is your training plan for the week? No set plan, as this is sort of a crazy week for us. Roughly it might look like: M - We rode bikes T - 5 miles of bridges W - Maybe 6 miles Th - Probably rest. I have a hair cut and vacation errands to run F - Probably another 5 S - Thinking 9-10 miles, then we catch a flight to Portugal in the afternoon!! Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? I feel so slow, but the weather is beautiful this week & it's making it a BIT easier...or at least allowing me to just relax and enjoy running, regardless of my new pace.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? Nope. It was a wash with the storm and cancelled half. Non H&F - DH felt the baby move twice this weekend! So sort of H&F related, because she's already proving to be quite the strong little athlete. Everything seems to say that it is VERY early for him to have been able to feel her, but here she is, just thumping away.
What are you training for? Date? Cyclocross, ongoing
What is your training plan for the week? Sat. & Sunday: Race Monday: Off (heavy housecleaning) Tuesday: Intervals on the road Wed.: Cyclocross practice Thursday: moderate road ride Friday: Off Sat.: Ride w/openers Sunday: Race

What are you training for? Date? Literally nothing, it's so weird.
What is your training plan for the week? Swim W-Fr-Sat?
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? See #1. I need to come up with a new thing to train for. One that doesn't involve much travel. (Next year is our 10-year anniversary and I promised R that I wouldn't pick a travelling A-race.)
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? Best race ever. (Race report already up). Also, the course felt long, but it was a reasonable pace for me, so I'm not sure what to think. LOL
Training for: MCM 10k 10/30, Bridge Race 10k 11/6, Marathon (?) 12/3. Oh, and a few 5ks in there too.
M - semi-unplanned rest T - run 4 W - run 8 Th - swim F - rest Sa or Su - Run...16? (I haven't run at all since the sprint tri on the 25th. we'll see how this goes)
Obstacles - getting back into the swing of it after the bike trip

Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week?
The plan I picked is pretty aggressive for me, so I'm a little nervous about starting it. Because of #dramaSeptember it's really snuck up on me that it's time to start training.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share?
It's finally starting to cool off just a little down here and running is feeling a little easier. We ran Saturday a little too late in the day and it was hillier than expected but I finished 9 miles and feel like I'm in a pretty good place to start training.

What is your training plan for the week?
M: CF T: Run 4 + CF W: CF TH: Run 3-5 F: Rest S: Rest S: Half!
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? I think my shoes are getting worn out. My feet were really sore after my 12 mile on Saturday and my ankles have bothered me for my last few runs. Oh well, too late for new ones now.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? The weather is GORGEOUS and the cool temps are making running so much more enjoyable. I've spent the last 2 months feeling like dead weight while running, it feels good for it to be somewhat easy again.
What are you training for? Date? Carlesbad Half Marathon 1/15/17 Napa Valley Marathon 3/5/17 Ironman Louisville 10/15/17 (yes it's more than a year away, but I'm still putting it here, because ironman dammit!)
What is your training plan for the week? Monday: Travel day Tuesday: Run 4 w/2 at threshold, swim class Wednesday: Bike commute (26 miles round trip), Run 6 Thursday: Run 4, swim class Friday: Trainer 60min, Brick run 1-2 miles Saturday: Run 10 Sunday: Rest
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Up until this weekend I was still not feeling back up to speed after Santa Cruz. I felt ok on standard runs, but speed work was like running through mud. I tried to do the threshold run on Friday and after like 15 seconds I said nope. Then Sunday my run finally felt really strong again, so I tested the waters and put in 2 miles at target marathon pace at the end and it felt great. So I think I'm finally back on the horse after 4 freaking weeks.
Last weeks highlights or AW's to share? Not really any highlights.
Cape Cod Clam Chowdah 39.3 challenge.. Last weekend in October.
Cross training today, 3 tomorrow, 6 Thursday. Rest Friday, 8 on Saturday
I did the BAA half on Sunday in the pouring rain. I was 3 minutes too slow to get a time. I got my medals for finishing, but no time. Also, the beginning is all downhill and I tore up my quads. They are still aching.
No highlights or anything from last week, but a friend bailed on splitting a hotel room with me for the challenge. I am stuck paying for it by myself and staying alone in a hotel for two nights. I have to look for a cheaper hotel now because I can't afford the one I have reserved on my own. However, I asked my "crush" to come support me for the marathon (I will be fine for the half marathon the day before) and he is going to try to come! Yay! <)

Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week?
I'm getting over bronchitis so I've been down for the count for a bit. Hoping I can ease back into training after almost a week off without too much difficulty. Missing so may runs makes me feel stressed out.
