Olivia has these skin colored tiny bumps all over her face. Any thoughts on what it might be? They aren't really red or rough like I've experienced eczema to be and she only itches them occasionally. (It looks red in the picture, her cheeks were flushed but generally it doesn't look red) I don't put anything on her face and wash it with warm water only. Over the summer I thought it was just due to sensitive skin and sunscreen but it actually seems worse now. She's started talking about the "bumpies" on her face and is starting to seem self-conscious

I'm not sure what it is, but agree with you that it's not likely eczema. Lauren's face would get super red spots, more rash looking than this. Poor sweetie. Hopefully someone has some advice.
It looks like it could be what I have. It's called keratosis pilaris. A doctor would be able to prescribe a lotion for it. I had some, but haven't gotten the prescription refilled in ages.
Thanks so much for the input katfco & carawestt. After a little looking online, it does look like that. I guess I will see if I can get her into the dr. It broke my heart that she felt conscious about it.
poor baby My E has a smattering of bumps over his forehead and bridge of his nose too. I was wondering if it was related to dairy sensitivity? E was intolerant as a baby, and has grown out of it (he chugs milk like no other) but I think the bumps started showing up until after we reintroduced dairy.

Interesting thought. O was MSPI as a baby. She had different bumps/rash near her mouth that would come and go for about a year that always made me question an allergy or intolerance but now that she's not as messy of an eater, it's gone. I guess that was just a contact sensitivity. This is different though. I'll mention it to the dr. It seems to "flare up" and then get a little better. This week has been the worst.
KP on the face wouldn't be the most typical spot, although it is possible. I would be a little surprised if it was diagnosed as KP.
I was going to say this too. My H has KP on most of his body but his face is as smooth as could be.
Could it be an allergy or sensitivity? I had similar bumps that seemed to clear up when I started taking allergy medicines. It honestly could have been unrelated but I did notice that it cleared up around the same time.
I'm sorry that she noticed it. I might try washing her face with dove or something really mild and see if it helps?
Any new products or routines? I feel like it's an allergy (but I don't know!)
The only thing I use on her face is water. We have new water since we have a new house I guess. Two of those pictures were taken a month apart so it's been going on awhile. I though maybe it was just sensitive skin so I made sure to not use a baby wipe or any soap on her face.
I guess I'll do a little trial and error with washing or lotion and see if anything helps.
Poor girl:( It looks like a topical reaction to me. Something she might be allergic to? I get a rash similar to that from over starched/ bleached linens and fragrances. I hope you are able to get some answers sooner rather than later!
Poor little bug. I hate that she's self conscious about it. If I had to guess, I'd join the mild reaction of some kind vote. T had something that looked like this when we were diagnosed mspi, but I wrote it off as baby acne because of his age- does dairy intolerance come and go? So odd. But agree it's not eczema- C had that on her face badly, and it looked red, scabby and awful. I hope you get some answers soon.
Thank you claralou & bebeetmoi! I'm trying to think of anything new that she could have a reaction to. I'm sure there is something I'm forgetting! C's skin looked similar when she had a diary intolerance. I don't remember if O had a skin reaction. I was really hoping it was just going to fade away but it's not. Hopefully I can figure out the cause or at least how to treat it.
If i wash my hair and the water runs down my face instead if down my back I get a skin reaction
Same with hair product of it runs or I touch my hair them touch my face
I started a new conditioner. Same brand but a different scent. I can't remember if this started before or after. I'll try and grab some of the old stuff and see.
