How old was your kid when they were finally 40 inches and able to ride most of the rides? We are looking to go to Disneyland next October when my son will be about 3 years and 8 months old. I really want him to be able to ride Radiator Springs Racers and will consider postponing the trip until he will be tall enough.
ETA - He was 35 inches in March 16. Trip will hopefully be October 17. Do they grow 5 inches in a year and a half?

Dd1 was 39.5 inches on our last trip, but with shoes she made most of the 40 in rides. She had just turned 5. My kids are slow growers, they usually grow about 2-3 inches a year.
So, based on the CDC growth chart, a boy who is 35 inches at 2 years old is on track to be 40 inches at 3.5 years old. It's about the 75th percentile for height. If your kid has been at the 75th percentile or higher for height since birth, you will probably be good.

i am crossing everything my 3 year old (4 at the end of June) will be 40 by the time we go mid October. He also was 35 inches when he was measured a few weeks ago.
I am currently reseaching shoes that supply the biggest height. He has never been above 25% tile for height so I am really really hoping here.

Just a warning If the shoes are obviously meant to make them taller the cast members can and do often ask them to take them off. I've seen it happen in front us

My oldest daughter was 40 inches by 3.5. She's 43.5 now at almost 5. My youngest will be 3 this month and is 36 inches. I doubt she'll be tall enough by our trip in October 2017. And
my triplets just turned 5 and are right at 40in on our Disney cruise the CM asked DS to take his shoes off before we got on the Aqua Duck so she could check
Boo! Well I am really not looking for huge soled shoes more like compairing Nike to Converse to New Balance type thing -a half inch could make or break it. My poor peanut. His older brother is a giant!

He should be close. It looks like 25% height boys are 40" right around 4 years, 4 months.
DS has been right at the 50th percentile for height and weight since he was born. He was a bit above that at his 4 year appointment, 41.25" (January 2016) and is now at 44".

DS was 36 inches with shoes last November when we went- I know because he went on the Barnstormer. Now he is 39 inches with shoes, I was hoping he'd hit 40 but hasn't for our trip this November. He turned 4 in July.
