So here's the deal. I'm 22 years old and I'll be graduating from college with my B.A. in a few months. In my field, there aren't really any jobs I can get right away that pay a ton. I'll have to start with a lower-paying job and work my way up towards a higher-paying job. The thing is, the jobs I'll start out with won't pay enough for me to support myself. Therefore, I'll probably be living with my parents for at-least a year after I've graduated and they'll be financially supporting me during that time as well. Is it normal that I'll still be financially dependent parents even after I graduate from college?

I graduated college and lived with my parents for 18+ months until I got married. I paid $100 a month for rent. They covered all utilities and bought 95% of my food. I was working at the front desk of a hotel making $9 an hour. I had 2 maxed out credit cards and had student loans to pay.
I think it is normal right now. If I were your parents, I'd make you pay some nominal rent and some bills, but I would expect you to be saving a lot and working towards higher paying jobs so that you can move out on your own as soon as possible.
