I am so bored in this new assignment, but I have read a ton of articles online. I have done some research on my local school district, and been able to get some other things done.
I am going to buy a pair of faux leather leggings. I saw Hoda Kotb with them on and I am going to try them. I am 99.9999% sure I will return them because they won't fit, but this is probably the most daring fashion thing I have attempted in a long while.
DD slept in her bed through the night Saturday night. As a reward (yes I am bribing her) she got ice cream with sprinkles. I was hoping this would start a trend. Nope. In our bed at 230am. I have to get up at 415am. I am tired.
Hello! I've mostly been lurking, will try to post more.
It rained last night and is still sprinkling this morning, I did not want to get up!
It's supposed to be in the 90s later this week. Is fall ever going to come?
Are you in the bay area too? It rained most of the weekend and we're supposed to hit the 80s by the end of the week. I wish the weather would just make up it's mind.

I'm down in Southern California.
I know we shouldn't complain because we are so spoiled, but it's annoying sometimes!

I feel ya. It was dry at my place but on my way to work it was drizzly. LOVED it. I am loving being able to sleep in on the weekends and run whenever vs getting up before the sun to get a run in to beat the heat.
My kid is so grown. She was watching tv tonight and this was our conversation.
Me: I am going to go take a shower, do you want to watch this upstairs? DD: No I want to watch here. Me: Well I am going to be AAAALL the way upstairs, are you sure? DD: Yep. :watching TV: Me: If you need me I will be right upstairs ok DD: I won't need you.
I am sorry things are not going well at home orangeblossom . Hope they improve.
Thanks. It's definitely more me than him, which makes it all the more annoying. We, IMO, never really resolved a big issue, and he thinks he's improved, and with school, I just do not have the emotional bandwidth to delve deeper.
Uhh, so I think one of my teammates on my women's soccer team "stalked" me.
Last week as I was leaving she said, "are you a doctor? that's the rumor" I was like "uhh yeah, I'm in residency."
I distinctly know that I never mentioned my job or being a resident. Then that night she followed me on Instagram. It dawned on me on the way to my game today that I had made my Instagram public a couple of weeks ago for some random reason and I do have 2 pictures on there of me mentioning I'm a doctor. So that's the only way she could know, my facebook is on super lock down and I don't have my job on there or anything either.
Then today at our game she said, "hey doc!" then tried to get me to diagnose something minor and I kind of laughed it off and she was like I'm serious. And it was just AWKWARD!
Has anyone been to Morocco? Want a mix between relaxing and city/lots of interesting things to see. sfy @kirkette maybe?
Trip planning doesn't stress me out, but picking a location is so daunting because there are so many places I want to see! I usually wait until the last minute like 6 weeks before but I have to tell the office soon so they don't schedule patients for me to see.
It'd be a week in April, budget between 4-5k. This year I've been to Mexico, Guatemala, Belize and Colombia, so was thinking of going to a different region and I've been wanting to go to Morocco.
Somewhere in India also looks intriguing. I have another vacation about 6 weeks after that but not sure the budget for that one. Any other idea?! Help!

No, but can I tell you that just this weekend, I was looking at tickets to go and trying to decide when to go?? I think if I went, I would try to split my time between Marrakesh and somewhere on the coast (Casablanca? Agadir? Not sure). When we went to Portugal and Spain a couple months ago, Morocco was on my list (along with Cinque Terre, because I've spent a lot of time in Rome, but never made it to Cinque Terre, and Greece, because my husband hasn't been before).
India is my number one on the list of places I want to go. I want to do 3 days in Mumbai, 5 days doing the Golden Triangle, leave and go do 4-5 days in the Maldives. So who knows when this will happen because I have no idea when my husband will be able to take two weeks off at once. But I want to so much.
In terms of other ideas, have you done SE Asia yet? I think Thailand is a good way to get a nice of mix of city/culture, beach/relaxing and 6 or so weeks from now would be a great time to be there. I wish I'd done Vietnam, too. Save

Yes, great minds think alike! I really have no idea when the best time to go is, ha. Maybe I should look in to that more. I just know that one of my coworkers in S. Africa travelled extensively in Africa and around the world and said that Morocco was one of her most favorite vacations ever. So I know if she loved it, it's definitely a must see.
Great idea about SE Asia. Nope haven't done that yet. I've only been to Japan. For most trips I try to get in at least 2 cities or 2 countries, but I think I'll only have 8 days total to be gone so I was trying to think of 1 country I really wanted to explore.
I like your idea about India and then the Maldives! Def would want to save that for when I have more time. Thanks for your ideas.
Y'all these people on PandCE are making me tired. Talking about its no big deal that Trump picked up that little black girl and kissed her when she didn't want it.
Yet pitchforks came out for little white girls that he spoke about but didn't touch.
Yep. My mind went there too. They are all about bodily autonomy and you shouldn't make toddlers have to kiss their family members (which I don't necessarily agree with), but this was ok because her parents were there and allowed it to happen. Pick a side people.

Yes! People whose opinion I trust on travel love Morocco. So I think it's going to be the bomb. When we were in Portugal, when we first arrived in the Algarve, we met a black couple from NYC who had just left Morocco and even they were raving about it. They had some really nice luggage (and I'm so picky about luggage)--where did they get it? Morocco. I am already plotting on how to bring home a rug since I haven't checked a bag since the 90s. But anyway, I decided June was the right time for me to go, which was kind of my problem, because I can probably do something in January and/or March, but next summer is shut down for me (unless we pop back over to Portugal really fast like our hearts desire, but that would be a very quick trip). So I think June because inland like Marrakesh gets hella hot in the summer but I still need it to be hot enough to do the beach at the coast. So July and August, too hot in Marrakesh, but April or May, maybe not hot enough to get in the water.
I always try to get two trips in one also. Traveling with DS, my theory was always half culture, half fun, but now that we travel more without him than with, it's just how I like to do it. I think you and I are similar in that we don't need to be any one place for like 7 days? So Europe makes that super easy, right, but I know you have no love for Europe lol (which is particularly unfortunate with your short windows because of the quick flights, but I'm not going to try to change your mind on this because I know how I feel about certain parts of Europe and no one could tempt me with those parts, ever). But like with Thailand, we did Bangkok for 3 days, Phuket for 4 days. 10 days is the most we've ever had, but 8-9 is typical for us and we can only do that around holidays.
