Also, I don't know why I forgot about Cuba. I just looked and the flights are $350. I'm pretty sure that will be a definite trip next year. I don't know what my boyfriend's tour schedule is, but I have no shame in booking the trip and going solo, ha. It seems like Cuba would be a good trip to do on my own as there is a lot of little things to explore, plus he's been to Cuba before so no biggie.
I'm being lazy as fuck today. I need to get my butt in gear. But it's windy and rainy outside....
Nice @ $350! Yes, we are planning to go with my family in November 2017 (we do a big family trip every other November). The problem is that we have our next two trips with them decided--Peru and Cuba. My mom is in great shape right now, but by 11/17 and 11/19, she will be 65 and 67, respectively. I think it would be best for her to do Peru first just in case, because it will be a more physical trip. So that is the only thing concerning me, but I think it will be war if I even suggest holding off on Cuba (and tbh, the idea of waiting three years makes me want to throw a tantrum also lol...even just next November seems so damned far away). FYI, some of our friends just did 5 days in Havana followed by 5 days in Cartagena and they did a great job of selling me on that combo.
Is Cuba kid friendly? I really want us to do a trip in the next few years. Probably not next year since we will be adjusting to the new house, but definitely the year after. DD is still talking about Turks and Caicos and we went right after she turned 2. There are so many places I want to go, but I want her to be a part of it.
kicks Have you been to Dubai? Several of my friends have been and really liked it. My father is going in a few months. He also really wants to go to Saigon.

I just figure everywhere is kid-friendly...I mean kids live there lol. We took DS almost everywhere and when he was 11/12, he even did a group trip to England and Scotland without us. My sweet baby nephew turned 2 in June and by then, he'd been to the Netherlands, Australia and Dominican Republic. I was only there on the Australia trip, but he just got in where he fit in. I know there are people who post on the Travel board who can speak to this much better than I can, but I think you can take children anywhere you want to go. They are sometimes better travelers than us lol.

I'm no expert but I don't see why Cuba wouldn't be kid friendly. I don't know if they have a lot of kid specific places to go but there are beaches, restaurants, museums, music, etc. So I think you wouldn't have a problem keeping them entertained.

I've been to Dubai, on 2 separate 48 hour stop overs. I don't think I really want to go back for a longer vacation. But good idea!
There are some hidden gems in the Middle East I'd love to make it to as well one day.

Yeah. I feel like you. But I mentioned taking her to Australia and people are always telling me that for tourists they see really little kids (2 and under) or older kids (tweens/teens). I guess if there is a lot of walking and long days it might not be good for a kid. I have no idea. LOL
Usher had video of the President dancing with his shirt unbuttoned to the second button lol . It's gone now. So, I guess he got in trouble.
My boyfriend was supposed to perform with them but couldn't. Sad face.
Lol that your invite got lost in the mail. I can't wait to see what your President and First Lady do after the White House. I hope they continue with the no fucks attitude that has emerged more and more lately!
