I used to use Ready Wipes but got tired of buying them. Now I use towels my mom knitted, but I have to wash it every day because it smells like mildew very fast. I need something now but I haven't found a brush I've liked.
I'm not sure the brand, but I use a knitted-looking dish cloth, it's white with yellow edges. I never have any problems with it smelling and I throw it in the laundry once in a while.

I use a sponge and dish soap. I buy the sponges from Costco so I can throw them out when they get gross. I sometimes will wash them in the dishwasher too, but they seem to last a long enough.
I used to use one of those brushes where you put the soap in the handle, but one year H's mom came over for Thanksgiving and sent H to the store for Handy Wipes because she can't cook a big meal without them. She got me hooked and I have used them for probably 7 years now. I would use one for a week and throw it out. Now I'm using not disposable towels and the ones I have just have a weird smell even after one use right out of the clothes washer. No one else notices it, I have a super sniffer, but I never noticed it on the ready wipe even after using it for a week. It's making me want to go back to disposable. These are the wipes I was using. www.amazon.com/Handi-Wipes-Reusable-6-Count-Packages/dp/B000EIC1VE/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1347206342&sr=1-1&keywords=disposable+dish+cloths I need something non disposable that doesn't hold mildew smell. I think the knitted towels are just the wrong material even though they are pretty and made with love.
I just wash as I go instead of waiting until I have a load to do. And my dish washer kinda does a shitty job. It leaves a sediment on glasses and unless there is absolutely no food on the plates they don't come clean. And I'm too uninterested to bother taking it apart and try to fix it. Oh and that little compartment that you put the detergent in broke. I could really use a new one but it's not a priority to me, I don't mind washing by hand. Except for my stinky dishcloths.
And now my Proboards ad is for Amazon and the pic is Handi Wipes. How convenient..
LOL!
FWIW, I only hand wash large items that take up too much space in the dishwasher.
Alzi - I am a germophobe, and thanks to Oprah and her investigations, I can't use a sponge. I will on a rare occasion, but it will either get thrown away right after the first use, or boiled in the microwave afterwords. Even if they don't look gross, they are +o(

I can't use sponges either. They creep me out. And I read that microwaving them releases dangerous toxins or something like that. I use a squatty scrubby brush that is suppose to dispense soap but usually isn't filled up.
I have to and wash dishes a lot because cook a lot, and on a daily basis have lots of pots, pans, baking sheets, cutting boards and usually either the food processor or blender or both. Plus, I hate unloading the dishwasher so much that I will hand wash dishes just to avoid having to unload it. Which is dumb because I spend more time hand washing dishes than just unloading it in the first place.
