Dd had been going to bed at 7/7:30, waking up at 12:30/1, and then again at 4/5. This was actually great for our schedule.
Now she's going to bed at the same time, but waking up at 11:30 and then again at 3. And doesn't go back to sleep. It's been two nights so far. She falls back asleep when I feed her at 3, but then wakes up 10 minutes later. Rinse and repeat 5 times or so, until I put her in our bed because mama needs some sleep. (H is also taking his turn trying to get her back to sleep.)
Any tips/tricks to get through this? How long are we looking at doing this?
I hesitate to even tell you this, but...C started her sleep regression at five months and is still there. She used to sleep 8-6 or 8-5. Now she falls asleep any time between seven and eight and is up at least twice. Sorry
DS1's 4 month regression consisted of waking every 45 - 60 min all night long. Lasted about 2 weeks? Then woke 3 -4 times a night for months. He was never a great sleeper as a baby.
DS2's 4 month regression was waking more often and taking longer to go back to sleep. His was 7 - 10 days I think.
Tips? Coffee and naps. Sorry:/ Try to split the wake ups if you can with your H so that you can get a few hour stretch of sleep each night. I know it is the worst. It is temporary though!
DS' regression was actually pretty quick and mirrored a growth spurt. It was a few nights of wanting some extra food and attention. Then he got RSV and didn't sleep at all for like 3 weeks. BUT after that he was practically sleeping through the night.
So, for tips... uh, pray? Take naps if you aren't working?
Ours was short lived as well. I'd make sure you are following good wake times and that she's putting herself to sleep.
What do you mean by good wake times?
Making sure she doesn't stay awake too long between naps and before bed -- I think at that age we were on 2-2.5 hours. Any longer and he'd be too overtired to go down easily.

Oh, we're failing at that majorly. I do ok when I'm with her, but we mostly have family watching her, and they have trouble getting her to nap.
