@parenting fail, bkb ate poop

H and I were on the couch eating breakfast and bkb was crawling around playing. We don't keep too close an eye on her because we have the whole bottom floor baby proofed. Well she comes crawling over to us coughing with brown stuff dripping out of her mouth. We knew it wasn't spit up because she just had a bottle that morning. We smell it and yup it was poop. We have no idea how she got ahold of it. Our only guess was that a piece got stuck to the cats butt and fell off on the carpet. Poor kid. I scooped what I could out of her mouth and then we rinsed her mouth out with water, brushed her teeth and put her in a new outfit. Then we gave her juice to wash the taste out some more. She definatly didn't enjoy the taste, so hopefully she won't eat it again if she comes across a piece. +o(

I'm sorry KB! I think I would puke just trying to clean her off. It certainly doesn't mean you are a bad parent! Kids will get into what they get into.

Thanks. I almost did. I gaged in the sink for a while before I took her from H to clean her up.
