I missed the bad hombres part. I don't know how. I am just glad the debates are over. I am surprised he actually showed up for all 3, but of course he loves to hear himself talk.
I will say that hope anyone who has the ability to early vote or absentee vote takes advantage of it. The level of overt hate in this country feels very high and I am really afraid of what election polls will be like on November 8.

I really, really hope that was the last nail in his coffin. I thought Hillary did a fantastic job, both in letting Trump hang himself and in really connecting with voters. One of the PBS commentators described her statements about Trump's tendency to demean women as "Michelle-Obama-esque" which was both true and hilarious. When she said, "I don't think there's a woman out there who doesn't know what that feels like" I think she really connected in a way she's had trouble doing so before. And I am SO glad she defended abortion so stringently, an empathic counterpoint to all of Trump's "rip it out of the womb -- just RIP it out!" rhetoric. Somebody on Facebook posted this article:

I couldn't stop yelling at the TV, so I turned it off half way through. I think Alec does a better trump than Trump. It is mind boggling that this is where we are as a country.
I watched. I loved when Hillary expanded on her experience and compared it to Donald's and how he was on The Apprentice.
I also enjoyed her pointing out that he always blames the system and thinks everything is rigged.
This is neither here nor there, but she looked awesome in her cream suit. Did anybody see Kareem Abdul Jabar after the debate? My H was like, is that Kareem?
I just went and bought myself a tshirt from Hillary's shop. I can't wait to wear it on election day when I take BB to the polls and she wears her Hillary onesie.
MH is going to shake his head at us, but I don't care.
I starting yelling at the radio when I heard "bad ombres/hombres".
When I actually had a chance to watch all of it, I knew I'd be finishing the whole bottle of wine once Trump started defending Vladimir fucking Putin.
His "I'll keep you in suspense" line really summed up how seriously he's taking all of this --- it's all just entertainment to him. That made me so mad. The principles of our nation aren't a damn mid-season cliffhanger. Fuck him.
My husband didn't want me to watch it because it gets me so worked up and I'm not feeling well (chemo was Monday).
I did watch and he ended up getting more worked up than I did.
I was worked up but tried to be calm because it's not helpful.
I'm so effing tired of this.
I definitely feel this...my husband and I were both so upset after the first debate we couldn't sleep for like a few days afterwards. It was just so horrifying that someone espousing these views was a legitimate candidate. Luckily, I think I felt better after the third debate. First, knowing there was no magic "turnaround" for Trump, and second because I think Hillary SLAYED...she gets more presidential every time. So, hope in retrospect at least you find it reassuring, but I think most of us won't sleep easy until after election day. Hugs to you, and best wishes for a speedy remission/recovery.

I am cracking up on how even mainstream news sources are throwing 100% shade with no regrets:
Warning of a "major announcement," Trump led off his first public appearance since the debate with the "promise and pledge" to his supporters: "I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election — if I win." The brief pause and defiant words that came after it immediately incited cheers from the crowd. Despite his initially obstinate comment, Trump's argument softened somewhat as he went deeper into his remarks. He called it "unprecedented" to have to concede results before they're known — a belief Trump hasn't had to be asked about before because it is a basic and fundamental principle of American democracy.
I was thankfully at French class, so wasn't tempted to watch it. When I got home I saw the last 15 minutes and then some of the commentary.
There really are no words for how horrible Trump is. I had a patient last week say how Trump has brought up bad memories for her and was legit making her depression worse. Then, stories about little kids scared of Trump getting elected and their family getting deported. It is really sad.
I have no trump supports IRL or on Facebook but occasionally I see a friend of a friend comment with something pro Trump. And I really hate to say it, but they all seem really dumb. Like can't construct 2 intelligible sentences together. One guy mentioned how we can find all these women who supposedly were assaulted by Trump but we can't find any witnesses to prove that Obama went to college. Like WTF! People are dumb, just dumb.

I watched and it was great to see Hillary really knock it out the park. Her restraint is unmatched. My ds was asked to write a letter to President Obama. Can I tell you how much it hurts to see him write that Trump wants to send all the black people away. He's 7!! He should not feel this way in the US!

I seriously LOLed at this. What does this even mean? People are so dumb.

I'm thinking about what the polls will be like as well and wondering if supporters of that motherf*cker will have the audacity to question other voters at the polls. I'll tell you what, they can question me if they want to...we're going to have a problem

thejackpot - That makes me feel sick. I cannot imagine how you must have felt reading that.
I'm not sure if this is valid or not, but I'm slightly nervous going to the polls especially with Trump's brigade of asking for people to monitor the polling precincts.

Black Lavender, newnamesameperson, I am not taking the kids to the polls this time. I normally take them and talk about the process and they get the stickers. Just a great experience. This time no. I don't know what crazy folks will be there and I just want to protect them as much as possible. So sad. When my ds was born a few weeks after the 2008 election, I was so excited he was born at such a wonderful hope filled time and now it's gotten so dismal.

This is why we are early voting. We can do it as a family and it isn't day of. But I really don't think there will be problems in PG County.

That's what I am hoping. No craziness here. But it's strange because I never considered safety while voting before 🙁😔
