Halloween Plans?

My H wants to do something, he's planning on dressing up as either Bruce LeRoy or MC Hammer. I have no idea what to dress up as.

We thought about driving to Vegas, but don't want to spend $500 for two nights. We are considering going down to San Diego, it's closer and cheper. Or we might just hang out near home.

Anybody have anything going on for Halloween? Costumes? Parties?

Anyway, I'm not a big Halloween person. But I did just see that one of the big meet up groups for black folk is having a party on Sat so I might go. Apparently I'm all about meet up groups these days, ha.

My friends go to Vegas every year and they always invite us. We went one year and had a blast. This year H can't go but I considered going solo but really not in the mood to drive 4 hours on Saturday, party to 4am, sleep a few hours, then drive back home in the Sunday Vegas traffic. Egh. My friends are leaving Monday but I wouldn't be able to do that plus figuring out the kid situation is stressful (although I COULD take them with me and the teen can babysit in the hotel room). Then there's the cost aspect for just the one day. Soooo, no Vegas and no plans except maybe a theme park on Sunday and maybe some festival or something Saturday. I'm taking my little one ToTing with my SIL on Monday.

H and I are going as Jack and Coke. It is the easiest costume ever as I just had to buy the t-shirts. They are in transit, but were supposed to be here the 22nd. Hopefully they get here in time.

Our new neighborhood has Trunk or Treat. I have never done this before and don't know how it works but we bought a shitton of candy for it.

We're going to a party my friend throws every year. It's always awesome. He spent all year building an iron Man suit. I can't wait to see it. We'll also take the kids to boo at the zoo is it's not raining & comic fest for freebies. And, of course, trick or treating.

I took the 31st off so I'm prepared.

I've never really been into Halloween so no plans but to take the little ToT on Monday and maybe a Trunk or Treat over the weekend.

Our subdivision has had lots of new houses since last year, so no idea on what to expect. The past two years its been dead.

Get the pass. We went a few years ago and the lines were terrible. We didn't get to do much since we waited in line most of the time.

We're just going to take the littles out around our subdivision and pass out candy. H & I don't usually dress up, but DD1 spotted a green dress in my closet and is trying to convince me to be Disgust from Inside Out.

The dad's take the kids out trick or treating & the moms stay in and give out candy (and drink, of course). Since this election has brought my pettiness to a whole new level, DH has been instructed that the girls should not get any candy from a house with a Trump sign.

Good rule. I will send superior makeup candy if the signs are plentiful & they need it.

DH's dream costume is the purple suit Daveed Diggs wears as Jefferson in Hamilton, but that is WELL beyond my costuming abilities, lol. Maybe next year!
