One was all female strippers and we were a bachelorette party. We met a group of guys on Bourbon Street and they talked us into going. It was a blast because these guys bought our drinks all night (at various clubs and bars) and gave us foot rubs.
Went to another with female strippers but got kicked out because my friend go into a fight with a stripper in a bathroom over who knows what.
I went to a couple of gay male strip clubs in New Orleans that were a blast - gay shirtless men everywhere, fully naked male strippers, dancing.
I went to one in Atlanta that is a dive bar and the strippers are known for being umm, less traditional. Like they are old or fat or ugly. It's a novelty. They have a dj and dancing.
I think the experience just varies so much by specific club.
I've been a couple of times. I find the whole thing fascinating from a human behavior standpoint. It's pretty much the ultimate people watching experience.

Yes, I've been with my husband a few times. The first one that I went to was kinda sleazy. The second one (which we've been to twice) is much better. At both locations the girls were definitely paying more attention to me, but were respectful.
I've been to quite a few with both male and female dancers I even went to the "champagne room" with DH for his birthday in Vegas. It's really nothing great. We haven't been to one though in a few years.

I went several years ago when I was a waitress and strip clubs were the only places open to hang out, like way after hours. I went with mainly girlfriends of mine. It was OK. The men that go there hit on US rather than the strippers, probably because we were less intimidating and more "real." I dunno. I wouldn't plan a trip there, though. If I ended up there after a night of drinking (although I am old, and tend to want to be in bed by 11) then I'm fine with that.

This was my favorite part as well. It's so fascinating to see the stripper/attendee interaction.
