My green protein smoothie tastes lame.

Here's what I did this morning. Thoughts on what I can add to make it taste better? It doesn't taste bad, it's just bland.

- 1.5 c unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 c triple berry mix
- 1 scoop vanilla vegan protein powder
- huge handful of baby kale/spinach mix

I always put a thin slice of lemon in my green smoothies. It really brightens the flavor and enhances the berry flavor.

Oh! I would have never thought of that. I will have to try that out.

Lemon is great to brighten it up. But I don't find that berries have enough punch for my smoothies.

Try frozen mangoes and pineapple or peaches for a more pronounced flavor.

If I do berries I also like to throw in some cacao nibs

I like peanut butter in my smoothies, maybe try that?

I was going to say some type of extract, either lemon or almond.

I usually do a half or a whole ripe banana, that adds flavor.

I like just baby spinach with berries. Kale has too strong a flavor for smoothies IMO.

I love frozen bananas or frozen pineapple to sweeten things up a bit. The pineapple also gives a good tangy flavor as well.

Tried the thin lemon slice and banana additions tonight. So great. Looking forward to trying a couple of the other suggestions.

Chocolate and/or PB. Maybe chocolate protein powder and PB2. Or just regular PB

Add something like pineapple, peach, or mango. I always add banana. I use chocolate soy milk a lot too. What protein powder are you using? I use Vega and I really like it and the nutritional one has greens in it and a bunch of other stuff.

Plant Fusion vegan protein powder, vanilla bean for the fruit smoothies. I have chocolate raspberry for the straight protein shake.
