My parents are looking into resorts to stay at for our family this February. Has anyone stayed at any of these places and what did you think? Or if you have any other suggestions that are moderately priced that would be great. The resorts they are looking at are: Port Orleans French Quarter Pop Century Art Of Animation All Star Movies Thanks!
POFQ is much better than Pop and All Star Movies. I would definitely recommend it over those two. I haven't stayed at AoA but I've heard good things!
Awesome! Thanks. What about Carribean Beach? Do you know anything about that?
I don't know much about it! I know that all of the Disney blogs reco POFQ in that level of resort. I think it's because of the theming and because it's a pretty small resort, so it's not super spread out. You can also get a boat to Disney Springs (vs bus) and you can walk to POR, which is nice because you have twice as many food and pool options.
I think Brie may have stayed at Caribbean Beach recently?

We stayed at AoA last month in the nemo family suite. There were definite pros and cons. We loved the size of the suite and having two bathrooms (5 in our family) but the sheets were scratchy and furniture is motel-like if that makes sense. We also waited for the buses up to 30min at a time at both AoA and leaving the parks which got ridiculous. I don't know if it was the time we were there (during free dining) or what but we did not like that at all and were surprised at the wait times.
Pros-great for families with young kids because they loved all the stuff there like the huge character stuff and the pools are really great. The food at the food court was really good we thought. Lots of variety but it's super loud and chaotic in there during peak times. Nemo suites are closest to lobby, food and buses.

We stayed at AoA in June 2015. Loved having the 2 full bathrooms in the suites. We stayed in the Finding Nemo suite. When we went the buses were very quick coming or going. They would even send 2 buses at the same time for the particular park that was opening early. Never had more than a 10 minute wait either way for the buses.
The latter 3 are your cheapest options (as long as it's not a family suite). POFQ is a tad more but a step up. I'd much prefer that theming. It's a cozy resort, smaller than any of the other moderates.
As always, I plug renting DVC points since almost always a studio in the cheaper DVC units is comparable to a moderate room but bigger, more amenities & nicer in every way. It depends on what deals are going on & the time of year, of course.
