Tuesday is finally almost here! Have you all already voted? Unfortunately PA doesn't have early voting.
Of course my boyfriend is overseas so I'm going to be home alone tomorrow trying to stay calm lol. Luckily, I can leave work a little early to vote then I plan to go to the gym to get out some aggression that Trump is even a viable candidate. I thought about going to an election party but my pajamas sound more enticing since I have to be up early on Wed, boo.
Oh and sfy the septa strike is over, praise baby Jesus. They reached a tentative agreement (I didn't hear the details on the agreement) but most things should be up and running by this afternoon/evening.

I heard! I don't know the details, either, although I'm curious to learn about them.
We voted last week. Just under 1 hour from getting in line to walking out, so I was pleased with that, although we saw friends yesterday who waited for less than 10 minutes! So I guess we timed it wrong. We are watching from home because I didn't take off Wednesday and now I can't because I have too much crap scheduled, and I really think it's going to run late. So I'm just going to make a bunch of nosh-ables and settle in--I'm pumped up!! Save
Guys I get legit bad nerves when I watch sporting events. It's bad when my Miami Heat is playing but sometimes it's any old team. I fidget, I clean, I pace. This election is going to be a long night for my husband and my nails!!!! Ugh. It is also my husband's birthday so I will be doing the cake and nice dinner thing. Which I would like to postpone but that seems crazy and my dd is not having that. She wants cake, cake, cake!
I voted last week. It took less than 10 minutes and I went on a Saturday. Everyone else I know went during the week thinking the weekend was going to be bad and they waited 1-2 hours. H waited and he has to vote tomorrow.
There is no way I will stay awake for the results so I will just pray that the world is still standing Wednesday.
My great grandmother who is 102 sent in her absentee ballot for Clinton. She is funny. She likes attention and the other day my mom said she looked really bad. Her face was swollen. She was hanging all limp and acting like she couldn't understand. So my mom was like you are scaring me and I need to know if you are ok. If you can't answer me and tell me your name I am going to call an ambulance. I am scared. So she sits up and says ok, my name is andwhat's grandma. Come on lady you are 102. We don't have time for your games.
Yesterday we had dinner for my grandma's b-day and she said she wanted everyone to come down to her area and spend some time with her. Of course. So my brother goes down there and she is like thanks for visiting. He says any time. She rolled her eyes and said that's better than the rest of them.

I voted 3 weeks ago (?) on a Saturday. The place was pretty busy but we were in and out relatively quick with no lines.
I am so ready for it to be Wednesday. Not only will the election be over, but my new coffee maker will be here. It's been a long 2 weeks without my coffee. I have some pumpkin bread just waiting to be the perfect breakfast Wed.

Super random- Some girl I used to work with texted me and asked if I would be her children's Godmother! Like..... We are not friends. We do not talk. I think I remember her kids names. What the hell?! (I'm pretty sure she is having trouble finding the one Catholic godparent that is required) but still. Yikes!

Happy Monday!
Any chance you're going to try to go to the rally today? I have three kids in the house (no school, so I have my guy and his little BFF and BFF's brother) so I can't, but it looks cool. I'm also bitter there's no early voting in PA. All my out-of-state friends and family have voted already. I want the whole thing to be over, but I'll also feel better when my part is over and I've voted. I actually went the the ED this weekend...I had this really acute pain in my abdomen and was worried it was my appendix. It ended up being probably an ovarian cyst, but I swear the whole way there I was bugging DH with, "If I have an appendectomy today will they let me out in time to vote? Will you take me in a wheelchair if you have to?" lol Save
I voted on Friday. The line was 3 hours long. I was pleasantly surprised to see that most of the voters were African American. We are in a VERY red state and our area is blue. But, the number of Af-Am voters was on par with the last election.
This election has caused so much stress. I will be watching election results with my family, which will be fun.

No way am I going to the rally lol. I've already expressed my non interest in Hillary, ha. I've seen Obama speak and went to his inauguration so I'm content with that. Also I'll most likely be at work but even if I weren't I would sit my ass at home
And there are emergency ballots available for people hospitalized who want to vote. Just FYI for next time you get abdominal pain before an election I'm glad it was nothing serious.

That's good to know! DH and I were wondering about that. :-) I wonder if there are any GOTV efforts at HUP? Seems like it would be a good use of time.
I'm also very relieved the SEPTA strike is over. Regional rail wasn't supposed to be directly affected, but of course it was, and things were already packed from all the Silverliner car problems. The commute home is always such a nail-biter for getting home in time to pick up the kiddo before 6.Save

lol, omg what did you say?! Was the text to the wrong person??
My ExH still randomly Facebook messages me every once in awhile. A few months after we separated and were both living overseas, I h gave him a chance to be normal and for us to have a civil relationship. But he kept showing his crazy.
All the times he was a raging asshole to me I never once showed rage or cussed him out or lit his shit on fire.
I could block him but I get satisfaction knowing that he can see I read his Facebook messages, but I don't respond. I hope he still feels like an asshole!

What??? Do you think she texted the wrong person? Why can't she get someone from church if that is the case?

andwhatkicks She deliberately asked me! I just told her that I have kiddos of my own that I have to lead and didn't feel I could do her kids service by being their godmother. I wished her and her boyfriend luck in finding someone who will support them in raising their kids in the church.
Y'all! I haven't seen nor spoken to this girl in YEARS! I was her supervisor a million years ago. What kinda foolishness? 😂

No offense, but when I read your first post, I thought you must be a sucker and she knows that. It reminded me of when my BFF's coworker asked her to be in her destination wedding and they were in no way cool like that. I kept begging her to reject her hard on GP, but she made up a story to get out of it. She definitely knew my friend is a sucker lol. But you are no a sucker. And this was not an accidental text. So this one must just be crazy as hell. *gavel* Save

My girls just busted in our room (already dressed) excited as can be telling us it's election day and we need to hurry up and go vote...this is the first time I'm considering not taking them with me to vote. And it's the first time DH insisted that we go to the polls together. There's just been a lot of ramblings around here about Trump supporters at the polls "observing" the process.
My status at work recently changed from exempt to non-exempt b/c of FLSA. Today is the first biweekly payday but we just switched so this paycheck is only for 4 days. We are not getting paid the other 48 hours, but we can borrow it from our vacation time taxed at a higher rate of course. A month before the holidays. I'm already salty about the way my job has handled this transition, but today I got my check. It was $220 b/c they still took out my dedications. I really just want to get up and go the fuck home. $220 is like one bill.
I am having second thoughts about going to tomorrow night's Hillary event. I don't think I'm capable of standing in line for hours and possibly not getting in and if I do get in, thinking about how insanely packed it's going to be is giving me anxiety.
My H did not help by saying "I would be worried about crazies."
I had a dream that I was driving by a golf course. Stevie Wonder, Prince, and a bunch of other male Black celebrities were standing around chilling. I said "hey! There's Stevie!!" and waved. Stevie turned around to Prince and said "Hey, it's salejolie! Guys, it's salejolie over there" and he waved back. I told hubs this morning and he asked me if Stevie could see me.

DDs woke up at 6:45 and DD1 was running around yelling, "Mommy, we vote for Hillary today!!" the little one was running around yelling, "boat, boat!" LOL! When we got to the polling place, DD1 asked to see HRC's name on the ballot and whispered, "Whoa, Mommy, there she is!" (heart)

That's why i made the decision to vote last week. It sucks that we have to feel that way.
