Hi ladies--I need some advice. I asked my husband and he was useless.
Now that LA is too old for smocked bishops (insert hysterical sobs here), I am going to make simple Christmas dresses for the girls this year. We aren't super fancy and the events (other than Christmas Eve church) are less formal, so I decided that O+S's Music Box Jumper (view A) would suit the bill. I made one for Adelyn earlier this fall and it is so much cuter than the promo pictures.
I have Fabric Finder's kelly green fine wale cord (not super bright, but not forest green) and plan to pair the jumpers with back button white peter pan collar shirts with red trim on the collars and wrists. Likely to be worn with white knee socks and brown mary janes. Red hair bows are a given
Anyhow, I tell you all that to ask this. Do I go with red monograms or white on the bodice? White would be more versatile, but all of their dresses in the past have been CLEARLY Christmas so part of me says go all in or go home.
I'd probably go with the white, but, I don't feel super strongly, either way. I've only been smart once when it comes to DD's Christmas dresses, for the most part they've been worn just 2-3 times. And they generally take an enormous amount of fabric, she's always been a twirly girl (I'm going to be so sad when she outgrows that).

The monograms are going on the jumpers? I might add gold buttons to the shirt, then do gold on the monogram. And then you can get more wear out of the jumpers.
