Did you guys see this message from The Nest? Sounds like things are going back to the way they were. Glad they listened, but too bad it took so long. The damage is done and most of the boards I frequented have already jumped ship.
This week, we received several e-mails from The Nest and The Bump members with concerns and feedback about the new board format. We greatly respect our community members opinions and feedback so at your request we have decided to go back to the old message board format.
Tomorrow, May 18, at 10:30 a.m. we’ll be reverting all of The Nest boards as well as The Bump local boards back to the old format. Please note that after the boards switch back anything that you’ve posted on the boards after they’ve been converted to the new format will not appear. This means that anything that you’ve posted since Wednesday, 5/9 at 2 pm on the Nest boards (excluding The Nest local boards) and anything that you’ve posted since Wednesday, 3/2 on The Nest local boards and The Bump local boards will no longer be available.
We will continue to listen to your feedback and will take action quickly. Moving forward, The Bump and The Nest teams will work closely with members within our community before rolling out new features and designs so that we know that they’ll be beneficial to you. Please continue to reach out to me, Nest Dani and Bump Kathleen with feedback and ideas about what would make your experience on the boards better. If you have any questions about what will happen once the boards revert back to the old format, please e-mail us at
They treat their users like shit. I have no desire to go back to their slow glitchy site with ads and spam. This site is simple and ad free and run by actual users.

It will actually have ads after the first month or so I think. Small banner ads at the very top and/or very bottom of the page (I forget which off the top of my head). Not anything crazy.
I lurk another proboards site and I don't even notice them anymore.
But I have absolutely no interest in going back to TN, bcause at least for now proboards isn't blocked at work!
I am really liking proboards so much more. I hope everyone stays here.
1. The preview when you hover your mouse over the post. 2. The "new" button to the left of the post that allows you to jump past the responses you've already read. 3. The app makes viewing on my droid so much easier. 4. More control over creating subboards and such rather than praying to TN gods. 5. I feel like you can customize your view so much more. 6. No spam. (I didn't see it on D&R but it's was so prevalent on the F&B board.) 7. Ability to post pics from your pc. 8. I'm sure there are a lot more reasons that I just can't think of right now... lol
Once the updated proboards version is (hopefully) installed in the fall where you can change the post order, this place will be perfect.
I work with software/applications. I do testing and support. It doesn't seem like they have both a testing environment AND a live environment. Otherwise these problems should have been caught. Then they ignored the complaints from the beta testing on the local boards. Things can go wrong even if they are fully tested out... it happens. You can't always exactly mimic your live environment exactly but this was really over the top and makes me think it was shoddy testing and bad decisions. They took over five days just to address it and that really ticks me off as their customer. There should have been much more damage control at the very beginning.
Meh. My only fear about this board is that it will get stale after a while, you know with the same people posting over and over. No offense to any of you, but because this board isn't as easy to find, we won't get as many new "faces", perspectives, and projects. I'll probably hang out on both TBH.

I'm staying. Between the total lack of respect for their users and the inability to even revert to the old pages correctly, I've just had it.
I like it over here and I love that features and things that are suggested are implemented quickly. We've sort of become a democracy instead of a dictatorship.

I also like the quick reply button at the bottom of each thread.
The local boards suffered as a result of their changes and they didnt listen to us then. They dont care about the users, just their profits and stock position.
