Sounds like you had a good weekend, Rock! That's really exciting about the car. How many days til you leave for Africa? I can't wait to hear all about it! We aren't going anywhere on vacation anytime soon, so I'm going to have to live vicariously through you on this one.
After being on vacation for two weeks, this weekend felt so short! We went out to western MA on Saturday. Had lunch with my brother and SIL, which was fun. We got to hear all about their honeymoon, and we filled them in on the family nonsense they missed during the wedding. Then we visited my grandfather for a bit. He was having a good day, so I was really glad we went. He'd gone to his house that morning (he's staying with a friend), and come back with bags of photos. We went through a couple of the albums, and they were hysterical. The late 70s/early 80s were not a kind time time fashion.
Yesterday, I just ran errands and finished a book. The stupid tire on my car keeps losing air, so it looks like I'll be shelling out for new tires this weekend. The joys of having a car. Sometimes, I miss Zipcars, heh.

Cool sounding car Rock!
GL with the tires 5KC. We just replaced mine just so we could pass inspection.
My weekend was awful, and long. DH left for an all-weekend event (they're on the calendar but they always sneak up on me), just about the time I got a cold. I had to wrangle a toddler while sneezing and dealing with crap weather. Oh, and trying not to get her sick so she could go to her first day of preschool. Saturday was awful.
On the upside, DH got home much earlier than expected on Sunday and we had a nice evening together.

I mentioned this on MM. Yesterday I did the Jimmy Fund Walk with my best friend. She, her husband, and another friend were supposed to be walking for her husband's company. Well both dads ened up canceling because of sick kids so I subbed in. We each took our younger sons and it was awesome! Gorgeous day for the walk and lots of time to chat and catch up.
