I haven't ventured into the land of oil cleansers, but I've heard good things about Boscia, and I know there are lots in the AB world.
What about just using coconut oil or jojoba or castor followed by one of the Cerave cleanser?
I take the second approach. I mix avocado and castor. Smear all over, massage a bit, wipe off with a hot wet washcloth, follow up with Cera ve. I'm cheap, it works.

I've been really happy with the MEMEBOX fresh oil cleanser #2. I'm currently following with the CosRx low pH morning gel cleanser and it's okay.
Double cleanser has made a big difference in my skin and pore size. I think the concept is more important than the actual products. I like cleansing oils over balms because it's easier to massage and emulsify for me without using as much product.

My favorite is the Julep Bare face cleansing oil. I was using other oils before grapeseed, avocado, and jojoba but now I'll just keep with the Julep. I love it that much!

My current favorite is Botanic Farm Grain Ferment Cleansing Sherbet. Before that I used Burt's Bees Cleansing Oil, and it's fine but my skin prefers the Botanic Farm one. I also like plain old jojoba oil.
My favorite cheapie oil cleanser is The Face Shop's Rice Water Bright Light Cleansing Oil. My favorite splurge oil cleanser is Shiseido's Perfect Oil Cleanser.
I LOVE the Shiseido cleanser that sporky mentioned about. But, it's pricey, so I've been using a Holika Holika oil cleanser followed by the rose cleansing stick. I used to love the Josie Maran oil cleanser, but not so much now that I've tried others.
I do think there is a big difference in getting an oil cleanser vs cleansing with oil. Emulsification and ease of rinsing mainly. I prefer the balms myself, botanic farm and Clinique. I have the boscia one that I got in a Sephora kit at some point. I like it, but I have had it a while. Don't find myself reaching for it often and I forget about it. Not all oil cleansers are created equally, I can not stand some that others swear by. so you should probably try several before you buy a huge bottle of anything.
I like the face shop's rice water light as well, I'm about to order my second bottle. I also really like the pixi's balm cleanser especially in the winter.

I bought Castor yesterday and used it solo--so thick. I assume you use avocado to thin it out?

yup. I just eyeball it. Probably 1/3 castor? I was going by instructions on the oil cleansing method that went around the interwebs a while ago when I started like....uhhh...2.5 years ago? It's taken this long to get through my bottles of oils so I've been doing the same thing ever since.

This is pretty much my exact routine in the shower in the mornings, except I use Cetaphil afterwards. I've tried various oils to mix with castor and I like avocado the best so far.
And at night I typically just use my makeup eraser and slap on moisturizer, because I'm lazy.
