I received a 25% room discount code. My friend has been wanting to go so we are doing a girls trip and going first weekend in Feb and staying at Yacht club for four nights! I'm trying to figure out what dining to book but so far I booked brunch at California Grill-I figure that can be our splurge meal. Also booked a garden Grill breakfast but might change that to a lunch or dinner. we are not doing the dining plan. My husband thinks I'm crazy for wanting to go back so soon but now I can do all the stuff we missed in Sept!
I would do everything on the Boardwalk if you are staying over there Flying Fish, Abracadabar and Ample Hills. I would also make sure I had a hopper to go to Epcot at Night for drinks around the World.
I have always wanted to do Cali Grille brunch and Josh from easywdw did a GREAT write up on it. I would totally do that and go back up to see the fireworks that night with your receipt.
I also would want to try Tiffins, Skippers Canteen, and Trader Sams on a kid free trip! SOUNDS LIKE A BLAST!
You may already know this but be aware that the Yacht Club will be under renovation while you're there! I noticed it when researching the other day.
It doesn't look too bad from what I have read, room and convention center refurbs. I was at the Poly with a room that looked out OVER THE CONSTRUCTION last year and never ever heard a peep. Disney Construction workers are MAGIC.
FWIW, we stayed at the Boardwalk Villas last year during refurbishment and didn't hear any construction noise whatsoever even though we were virtually on top of the rooms they were working on. We did see equipment, but that's it. I wouldn't hesitate to book a room (particularly at that kind of discount) at a Disney hotel undergoing construction in the future.
