Did you buy them through Disney? Did you get any kind of trip insurance?
A snowstorm delayed us one time by a day and a half. I did not have trip insurance but Disney refunded me for everything I didn't use. (And also told me to get trip insurance next time and it was a one time refund and they were putting a note in my file. lol.) If you got them through Disney, it's worth a call or email to ask.
I did buy them through Disney. My trip is two weeks away. I didn't buy insurance – I don't even remember being offered it.
If I don't use the tickets, how long are they good for?
My son has been seriously ill so that is why I am questioning my trip. He's well now but I'm worried he will get sick and we will be away from his healthcare providers and children's hospital. I don't anticipate being able to get back for a few years due to being pregnant and not wanting to go with a newborn.
I called tonight and was able to get a refund on my lodging. My tickets are good for a year, and luckily it's only my husband's whose can't be used because I am still going for work and going to use mine. Disney is very nice.

Were they special tickets? If they are regular tickets They have no expiration if they aren't used. Phone castmembers are notorious for being wrong.
I don't think tickets expire until you activate them by using them. Once you use them for the first time, you have 14 days to use the rest of ticket days. So... I'm pretty sure as long as you don't use them, they'll stay in your account until you can make it there..,
