Park Plans Christmas Week Inside

I have seriously been all over the internet but only a few hours ago did I realize that the Magic Kingdom was showing the Christmas parade twice a day during our trip - at 12 and 3:30.  It seems like there are so many yet to be announced park hour changes and showtimes, which annoys me considering we've had this trip booked for months and made our Fastpass weeks ago already.

Anyway I wanted to write this all out and get some feedback.  I made Fastpasses for all the obvious stuff but I really like the dorky stuff no one likes - Hall of Progress, Country Bear Jamboree, the Ellen Dinosaur ride etc.  

I was planning on spending Christmas Eve at HS but the rest of our group will be in MK and after reading reviews for the Jingle Bell show I think we may just want to brave the crowds at MK instead if we're still standing that night so I'm thinking of switching up my plans a bit.

And with two kids under 4 it's a crapshoot what we'll be able to accomplish but here goes:

12/23

Arrive MCO @ 11, DME to Caribbean Beach
Bus to MK, Boat to Wilderness Lodge
Dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe at 5 pm
Back to CBR.  Baby to bed.  Maybe hang with family with three year old.

12/24

Rode drop at HS - 8:30
Disney Junior Play and Dine 10
FP Toy Story Mania 10:20-11:20
FP Star Tours 12:10 - 1:10

FP Tower of Terror 1:15-2:15

Hotel nap
MK for Wishes at 9 pm

12/25

Animal Kingdom whenever we're up to it
FP Safari 12 pm
Lunch at Tusker House 1:35 pm
FP Festival of the Lion King 3:30
FP Expedition Everest (child swap) 4:45

Rest day
HDDR at 6:15
Sleigh ride through campgrounds?

My only question would be will you be able to even get into MK later in the day? Doesn't it usually reach capacity pretty early in the day?

I think it reaches Phase 1 capacity but resort guests can still get in except in rare circumstances.

Would you be able to switch your rest day with your AK day? I like to pair AK with HDDR ( I don't really know why?? I always just do AK in the am and HDDR in the afternoon?)

That way you have your whole day free on XMAS. Which I might want? IDK?

No because those days are planned with the other families on the trip. It wasn't my first choice but we decided to do a few days with everyone in the same park/hotel and a few on our own.

I moved my Tower of Terror FP and edited my original post.  But now I wonder if I was better off keeping it at 10:20 and hoping we'd be done with breakfast by 11:20?  IDK.  I'm hoping we ride Toy Story at rope drop and it won't even matter but we'll see.  If my three year old is 40" will he be okay on Tower of Terror?  We watched a video of it last night and he said he wants to go on it but who knows.

DS did it at 4. He could have done it at 3 but he didn't go to HS that trip. He wasn't scared but he did say " never again" lolololol. I wonder if he will want to do it next trip when he is 6?

I'm assuming the FP starts at that time so really they will have an hour and 40 mins. Almost two hours when you consider the FP grace period.

Even if you don't get everything done you will have a ball doing what you can get done.

I'll ditto the recommendation not to take a 3 year old on TOT. The theming alone freaked my kids out, and they were 5 and 8 when we last visited.

We took our 3 year old DS on Tower of Terror and he really liked it. We actually did it again later the same day. I'm sure every 3 old is different.
