Trying to add a few more things to DS' Amazon list to send out to family since they've requested it. He has:
Magformers (and Magformers and Magformers, he loves these things) Legos (and Legos and Legos and Legos-a mix of sets and the big blocks of Legos) Elephant and Piggy books A few more Pigeon books A dollhouse (I'm making it and the furnishings) Tinker Toys Learning Resources Gears set ZOOB Builderz set (may add the car set too)
He's also getting a boatload of Usborne books-but those will probably be in his room when we finish up his reading corner.
I have two in this age range. Of the ones not mentioned already in your list I have monopoly or other board games (my kids are getting monopoly and Jenga but already have sorry, candy land, mancala and a few others.)
Stuffed animals my kids are huge in imaginative play and love stuffed animals. They each have 2 they want (Douglas cuddle toys brand sold at Barnes and noble).
Other ideas some of which we have or they are getting: walkie talkies, remote control car, marble run set, costumes
I bought a few more Brio accessories to go along with the million train pieces they have.
They want metal school buses with stop signs that go in and out like real buses.
That's all they want. LOL.
I think I am going to put more puzzles on their lists. Plus new paints and playdoh and chapter books. And a sled-just the cheap plastic kind.
1yeartogo We have Marble Run. I hate it. Its cheap and the structure falls down all the time and its a little hard for the boys to put together themselves without it collapsing. Plus, marbles everywhere.
Oh fryjack2, good call on puzzles. I'm heading to AC Moore to check out their Thomas selection, I have a $10 off coupon and am hoping the Thomas accessories will be on sale.
I really need to stop buying stuff, but his birthday and Christmas are 3 days apart and I'm having too much fun because he's now into more big kid stuff. His creativity is fascinating to me and I want to buy everything to see what he comes up with!

My daughter (6.5) wants a camera, remote control cheetah I cannot find, art supplies and a cheetah bank. My 4.5 year old wants everything, but specifically a transformer named slingshot, a wild Kratts tortuga playset, remote control monster truck, and another fire truck that makes noise.
DS, turning 6 in December, wants like everything, but especially --dinosaur things (also big last year)--figures, kits, whatever --science kits --remote-controlled vehicles --games like Pop the Pig and some Gamewright games that I think sound good --Lego sets --Playmobil --Imaginext shark pirate ship --really wants this horrid sounding dinosaur habitat thing from Young Explorers in which you grow sea monkey type critters and plant real plants. I'm sure it will be a nasty, moldy mess of dead plants and sea monkeys but he insists he really wants it. --a zip line (not happening)
5 year old DS - toy dinosaurs - dinosaur books - Bob the Builder toys with kinetic sand - Lego Space Shuttle - Thomas the train "Dustin" train with matching book - Duplo Construction vehicles (from Grandma) - Lego Toy Story Western Train Chase Set - Thomas the Train minis Playset - Thomas the Train minis advent calendar (from Grandma) - Hape Quadrilla Wooden Marble Run Construction set - Lego Garage set - small Lego train, stocking stuffer sized - books - more Lego
- Bought the new Lego Christmas train set, but will save for another year.
He's really into dinosaurs, construction vehicles, cars, trains.
Might also consider getting him more art supplies.
Some of these are birthday gifts. Grandma gives the kids advent calendars at Thanksgiving dinner.
DS1 is 5. He wants a Thomas the train track master set from santa. He likes the code-a-pillar and if he was 4 I'd get it for him, but I'm worried it might be a bit young for him. I saw this build it yourself kids coding computer that seems kind of cool.
He hasn't asked for it, but he loves the one at my moms, so I may get him an electric piano and start teaching him to play.
Legos
Magformers or magnatiles
Books
He loves all the typical cartoons, like pj masks and paw patrol, so little toys of those characters, depending on what he's most into closer to Christmas.
We may do a wagon or tent for the baby, which I'm sure DS1 would use.

I just ordered Zoomer Everest---it was on sale at Target. It MAY get returned. She has been asking for it---but I am hesitant. I figured better to order and return then be completely sold out and it being the one thing on her list.
Son (6): Pokémon stuff, board games, hot wheels tracks, new slippers, skis and gear (we just moved to Colorado)
Daughter (7): American Girl Doll stuff (a new doll from my grandma, some clothes and accessories), dollhouse furniture, shopkins, accessories/jewelry from Claire's, crafts, skis and gear for snow.
