Weekend plans?

I'm currently packing because I know we won't have time during the holidays and our lease is up 12/31. There's a cold front that moved in and I'm trying hard to stay motivated instead of curling up in bed. What are you doing?

I ran an 8k this morning. It definitely motivated me to get my butt in gear for half marathon training for the spring.

This is the first full weekend my boyfriend and I have had together since probably July! The next one won't be until the end of Dec. So I think I want to go out tonight and drink and dance. We'll see if any friends are available to join.

Tomorrow I have a massage scheduled at the black owned salon so I'm looking forward to that.

Eta: and he just cleaned the downstairs and is now cooking dinner, while I lay on the couch and read. Damn I wish he were around more often lol.

Neighborhood November Birthday Cookout.

I'm just happy to have some free time this weekend. The past two weeks of school was rough, and it's nice to not have anything to do.

I do hope to do some crafty things at some point this weekend, though I say that every weekend.

My mom will be visiting next week for American thanksgiving. So I'm getting rid I my kids old toys making room for the tree, cleaning because my mom already thinks I'm a slob, and doing laundry, washing blankets and pillow cases because believe me she smells them for freshness.

However today my son is sleeping over my in laws and it's just me and my daughter so we're going to hang and have a girls day.

It was just me and DD today because H had to work. We went to the park for a few hours to enjoy the wonderful weather. We left at the perfect time because it looks like the bad weather is on its way.

Tomorrow we are going to the African American Museum. I cannot wait. I hope it completely pulls me out of my election funk. I don't know how long DD will last, but I am so glad we are taking her.

Have fun at the Musuem! I need to check when they are releasing tickets for April. My boyfriend will be performing in DC so I thought I might as well go so I can get a free hotel and then hopefully go to the Musuem! Definitely report back. I'm sure it will be inspiring.

Two, we're going scarf shopping for her and then playing in the mall play center. She'll love that.
