How soon after having sex is reasonable to get tested?

I think I've always heard six weeks to three months, but I'd probably call my gyno and see what they recommend. Overall though please try and put your mind at ease. You used a condom. Yes it's still possible to get something of course, but the risk is low.

Thanks @pdx18, the logical side of me knows I am more than likely fine but the worrywart side has got to get off google!

Keep up with your annuals, but yes I believe that 6 weeks to 3 month time frame is a good reference. I'd probably do a visit in the next few weeks to calm your fears and get retested at your annual. Hugs.

You'll be fine. But a few weeks to 3 months generally. I go once every three months just for my own peace of mind.

Thanks waffletime,and doglove, I'm feeling a lot better about everything now that the initial shock has worn off and I'm thinking logically. I used protection so all should be good!
